Anyone ever been in caught in one? I thought that in the current climate members could post their experiences about what happens during these. Knowledge is power......
eg: how many police usually turn up
what happens?
do they always make you piss in the bottle?
do you piss in front of them or present them with the sample?
are the police usually polite (if like us all) you have nothing to hide?
how long does it take to be cleared?
Any other comments or experiences welcome.

From the reports I read there have been two types of raids. One on bars and two on discos/after hours clubs.
Go-Go bars: The reports indicate that police and/or police with drug sniffing dogs enter the bars. All or a small chosen sample of BG's are subject to the tests. Customer were left untouched.
Discos/after hours clubs like Grace: Everyone is tested. You are held until you get a clear from your test result. If your test result comes back not clear (such as false positive) you are taken to a hospital for additional testing.
The police were reported to be cordial, but serious. Testing done within restrooms. Clearing can take a few hours defnitely not fun to wait around.
It seems both the drug testing and MP crackdown are loosing steam as does everything over time. The police got their dicks slapped for conducting sting operations by the judges at the same time assults on overpasses have increased. So it is a new fire to fight. The Drug war is focusing on top dealers and smuggling operations up north. More concern about terrorists right now and rightly so.
MP's have changed in that they all open 6:00PM to 11:00 PM and the only use the amount of rooms that they are licensed for. Go-Go bars have enforced the policy of bikinis and 2:00 AM closing like clockwork, violators get 30 day closures.
Others may have other input to actual raids, but I think the hype is worst than the act. The bigger story is bogus VISA stamps. If you have one of these or let your passport take a VISA run without you I would be losing you passport fast. Many have been arrested and face serious charges right now at a minimum of permenant expellsion from the kingdom.

got caught in grace once about 9 months ago. big thing with 3-4 tv stations present all making nice shots for next days main news. about 50 police, everybody being tested, took about 3 hours to test around 300-500 people, some ugly scenes of farangs getting upset and girls crying.
seems i was a moviestar that night as i had about 5 people approaching me the next days that they have seen me on tv in the news. not a pleasant thing if you are working somewhere and get busted up like this. guess ones boss would be delighted seeing tv scenes like that!

Does anyone know for what drugs they are testing besides the obvious yaba?

I dont do ANY drugs at all, if you want to buy my "DRUG FREE PEE" I would be more than happy to sell it to you, that way you will be 100% sure you will pass.
