Wow! Another afficionado keen to the Cointreau Margarita. This IS the way it should be, one taste and you just KNOW. Plus, it's gotta be made with 100% Blue Agave Tequila-- Herraduras' my favorite. Anything else and you're hungover the next morning.
Incidentally, I had several in Q-bar and was impressed by their quality err taste. But did get stuck with a hangover. Never got around to seeing what brand they poured.

Yes my friend Herradura is always going to be the best but can be a bit pricey, I haven't got much money you see.
I think a good value for money tequila, is your bulk standard sauza silver. Margaritas should always be made with silver tequila. Not aged or rested.
Glad to see there are other people who love the margarita as much as me

The Sauza Hornitos isnt a bad buy either ( fortunately for me , its available at the local Costco in bulk)
best margarita I ever had , not at home, was at the red parrot in Newport .
although the one I had here was not bad

Hi Max,
I see your from New York. One of the best Margaritas I've had was in a bar in Manhattan called 'Tapika' i don't even know if the bar is still there, this was about 5 years ago.
Other good Margarita venue's :-
London:- Lanesborough hotel, barman is the legendary, Salvatore Calabrese.
Singapore:- A bar simple called Margaritas, also Raffles hotel

I live in New Mexico. Hard to find a bad Margi here but the glass is important. It should be big enough to catch your face after a few..lol
I have had some surprisingly good ones in Bkk, but have to admit after a few, the tastes kind of blend together...

Good to see we've had some replys on this subject, after all after, Thai women isn't alcohol the most important thing in the world? and isn't the quality of a Margarita just about the most important aspect of alcohol? well i think it is anyway, forget talk about war and shit and stick to the important things in life A MARGARITA
A perfect Margarita can actually make me cry!!
Had a good one couple of months ago in the landmark hotel bar.
