I noticed a small crowd of girls watching two girls fight just off Soi 7. The fight went on for a while and the girls were landing some of their wild slaps and punches. I had met one of the fighters that afternoon at the Biergarten. I noticed she got a bloody nose in the fight so I felt obligated to stop the fight. I might add she was holding her own in the fight despite the blood. The crowd started getting hostile when I stepped in so I let them finish. What is the appropriate thing to do when you see two Thai girls slugging it out? Or non-Thai for that matter.

i would never get involved in a fight between thais, male or female. it is not your problem and you are still a foreigner, remember. I have seen a fight in a disco once where a falang got trashed. not a nice sight.

You should have offered a money prize so that they fight with greater motivation. Offer bonus money for drawing blood, knocking down teeth etc. Then step back to watch.

If you want them to stop scratching & clawing each other a liberal dousing of massage oil (or similar) should do the trick - a 56 gallon drum is about the right amount.
If no oil is available try slinging some mud (physical not verbal) - remember to add some water or the mud might stick & then you would be in trouble. Then stand back and enjoy!
