I got back from Thailand about 2 hours ago and was catching up on things here. I met a girl I knew at the ATM outside of the Landmark. She had a nice new $100 for a ST... I said oyyy! Too much! She laughed and said good for her! She went with me for 1000 baht and we had a great time. She took pleasure in buying me lunch at the Nana with her big ST money.

Absolutely. And the difference between the two types is so easy to see. I go to the LOS often and like to sit with my TG friends there and watch the farang. I am a "type 1" through and through. The sex with TG is to me the best but sex with a TG that likes you and that you share respect for is the very best.
And yes, I am one that gives my friends extra money. Yes, I have given money to a BG that broke her arm or was in a motor bike accident, or paid her hosptial bill and sat with her and brought food or some flowers to her at the hospital. I feel no guilt.
I have known some of them for years and know that life can be tough and unfair. All of you that are #1 have seen how these girls work for their families. It is the way they are, their culture. Before the flaming starts - not all, I agree, but you know the ones I mean.
And these girls love to please us in bed and take any genuine care and concern from us very seriously. When have shared pleasure and friendship then I don't feel bad at all about giving a friend some extra. I actually feel embarassment and anger when I see another falang treat a girl that I know to be nice in a degrading manner. It amazes me that they would return treatment from a lovely, gentle woman like she was a piece of trash to them. And these women are of a beauty that most of them would never experience in their home land. Really pisses me off.
Sorry for the words but jet lag and having seen some very recent examples of type #2 behavior, it seems to be a button for me today. Just ignore my rantings...

Well to me that was an important part of "the lesson" (that some people will never get); the fact that she turned around and shared her good fortune with you just goes to show the kind of sincere reaction you can get from these ladies if you are "Type 1" (I think Haam has invented a good term ).
It's usually the type 2 who says "Thai girls only care about money, blah, blah..." I wonder why they get that feeling? It couldn't have anything to do with their attitude and the way they treat the girls, could it? ;)

I have to second MrJoes sentiments as well. haam sup you summed up the sentiment on the board rather nicely too and given it is the predominance of #1's here and the prevailing attitude of the board, well, that whatÝkeeps me here and liking the community so much.
I've been down on myself a bit recently since when I discovered a mutual aquaintance had also just returned from LOS. After our converstion of discovery I emailed him and passed along the forums address as a friendly gesture. The irony is that he's an aquaitance only, and it so happens he is, to my mind, because he's more of a #2 than a #1. A week later and with no gratitude offered I wondered, "Why did I bother with the generosity?" Live and learn. Hopefully he'll dismiss it in his vanity and forget the gem that is LOS, moving onto that next great thing.
I've also been of the mind that there are many among us holding out their best kept secrets. Good on you all. The best things in life have some sweat and earned equity factored into their discovery, just as, and conversely, we disdain the handouts irregardless of their actual worth. So you keep on keeping the best underwraps till you deem the timing's right and I'll stop passing along the platitiudes my jaded newbie conscience blurted out back home. Ý Ý

BRILLIANT! That's really one of the very few things I sometimes cringe over regarding this forum. Some guys want to plan every single aspect of their time in LOS before they even get here. I can't blame anyone for wanting to be armed with as much info as possible -- and I know some have limited time here -- and I think this forum is a great thing that does much good. But enjoying the LOS experience is as much an art as a science and there are some things that should be learned from experience -- and some rewards must be earned.
Of course learn what you can from others experience; that's one of thereasons I post -- to help with that. But don't forget to use a moral compasss and your instincts as well.
