There is always a huge crowd outside the World Trade Center in Bangkok (OK - I know the name has changed but I cant't remember it). The Beergardens set up there do a roaring trade too. You'll pobably have to take the Skytrain in though, last year all roads in the area were closed to traffic, the crowds spread out as far as Rama I / Ploenchit all the way to Petchburi / Pratunam. Not my idea of a fun evening but that's only me!

We planned to go to World Trade Centre last year. Some Thai friends arrived to meet us at 10pm, and had already been. They said not to bother...we didn't, getting crushed to see 'f*ckall' is pointless....just find a good place and be with friends.......

So what is it with the world trade centre guys? Do they have any sort of attractions there? Do they have any temp bars set up? I have been to Bkk but not to familiar with WTC. Is it just somewhere where people 'gather' for the occasion?
