Spent 3 hours browsing the bars of NEP last night and much to my surprise, I did not enjoy it as much as I would have liked to....
Of All the Bars, my Favs (hands down) were AW and Playskool... I did them all and realised that this "scene" is not really my "cup of tea". I like the atmosphere of Massage Parlors and the interaction with the Oily Girls but nothing prepared me for what I was about to suffer in the Bars of NEP.
First arrived @ Lollipop and went clockwise from there. nothing that really tickled my fancy until I stepped into Playskool. Sat down, had a drink and watched the topless ladies try to attract my attention... I'm the new Fish in the pond and they all try to get a "stare" from me that would invite them to join me after the dancing is over. I am sure that if the club was busy, she would have gone away to look for someone with a little more class and respect.
Now I'm the first to think that this is all a game, an illusion and that I don't really care about turning a BG down and how she would feel about the rejection, I mean, it's my choice after all. but in all fairness, I would not like to have to sit beside a 60yo fat man (no disrespect intended), with a smokey breath, sweat smell, groping me everywhere. How many times a night do they get their assed grabbed, their tits fondled, their pussy fingered? some like it, others don't like to make a spectacle of themselves in front of everyone. I can see now one more reason why our TGs would prefer Japanese over a westerner.... probably have something to do with "respect".
did a few bars more until I could not handle it anymore.... When I look back at the 3hours I spent in NEP, I can't help to think that I was in Hell...
My ears were buzzing from the Loud music, my throat was sore from all the Yelling I had to do so the Girls could hear me, my eyes were crying from the Smoke and my skin and clothes reeked tobacco.... Shit, are BG's exposed to this crap every day? I feel like shit this morning, I had 2 showers since and I can still smell the smoke, my throat and ears are still sore... and I am only 31 yo...
Hat's off to these girls that have to endure loud music, smoke, bad breath, stinky sweaty guys, dirty hands on their bodies and disrespect all night long.

Nic, I have seen that type of f***wit behaviour many times, and think of the TG who has to endure this from farangs and probably Thai men as well, poor bugger's.

I may be a bit prudish and would never condone that crap. Having said that, I knock around with some good mates that do this in a funny and nice way, and I do it as well. NEP is quite an intense place and can be overwhelming first time. What he needs is a couple of good GFEs under his belt that will keep him coming back and put up with those (few) aspects that he finds distasteful. Once you start focussing on the things that irritate you, the irritations multiply and before you know it yopur 'in hell'.

As a chap in his late sixties who from time to time has had a TG bar on his lap, I might comment. Sure, its not in my nature to grope, but if the lady herself initiates it, then why not?
Its all a matter of attitude, so if one's behavior is in the slightest unwelcome then STOP. Outside the bar, its entirely different. On the street or BTS, there should be little if any touching. At night, in the back of a taxi or in the front seat of one's own car, its a bit different.
As far as NEP go I hardly ever visit the place when in BKK as I have too many other contacts there. Also I too find the music is too damm loud. But, its a fun candy store to visit once in a blue moon. In fact, a week or two ago I took home a 24 year old real stunner (plus her room mate) from one of the Rainbow bars. I have entertained the lady a couple of times since without revisiting NEP. She just drops by around 8.00 p.m. to pay bar.
Anyway, please don't count out all us old geezers. In Thailand we can have just about as much fun as you younger blokes....and I for one have been going to go-go bars for 35 years....although they are quite a bit tamer these days than back in the early 70's.
