Hello Everyone,
So i'll be headed to Bangkok next Thursday (21st) for about 7 days. I'm there friday and saturday night with nothing to do for both of those day's and nights and then sunday through wednesday my days will be busy with meetings and i'll be free during the night's.
My question is Where do I start??? I know this is a very broad topic but I need some starting points. I"m interested first and foremost in the nightclub trance techno bar scene. Big clubs, maybe Q bar and the like? But i'd also like some recs on newbie massage parlors, i'm not sure how I feel about the full on experience maybe just start with a real massage with a little extra.
I'll be staying at the plaza athenee for a locational reference.
Please help if you can.

Might I suggest that first you buy the new apple air laptop, then buy an iphone, then buy a few hundred shares of apple stock you know ten years from now I heard it might hit $200 per share again (one has to think long term). Oh, and while you are in Bangkok it might be worth your while to hit Soi Cowboy, Nana, or maybe a massage place or two.
In all seriousness if you can weed thru the last 25 posts or so about apple and investment opinions there is actually quite a wealth of information on this forum about what if available in the wonderful city of Bang-your-cock - and the P4P area.
Where to start? Depends on what you are looking for. Thai massage joints that also offer a bit of extra service on the side are a dime a dozen in BKK. Lots of folks that post on this forum and therefore lots of opinions on which places are best but the following are some suggestions from me:
Oily massage with extras:
Aviva Sukhumvit Soi 8
Angle Message Sukhumvit Soi 22 or Soi 26
Or if you want to go hard core Tulips (Tonglor BTS Sukhumvit)
Soapy massage with extras:
Pick a joint (or take a look at several) on Ratchdapisek
On Ratchdapisek IMHO it is hard to beat Poseidon
Closer to where you are staying Sukhumvit area :
Darlings (Sukhumvit Soi 12)
Annies (Sukhumvit Soi 2-4)
Both Darlings and Annies are meer shadows of what a true Bangkok message place should be IMHO - but one can find a jem or two.
Go-gos (for the night time) :
Nana plaza (Sukhumvit Soi 4)
Soi Cowboy (Skuhumvit Soi 23)
Patpong (BTS Sala Daeng skytrain exit, MRT Silom underground station)
Sadly IMHO Bangkok is quite lacking when it comes to quality big clubs Qbar. Bedclub (both soi 11) etc - just do not measure up. But if that is your type of thing you might also give Glow (really big hit or miss crowd in here sometimes packed, many times not so crowded - Sukhumvi soi 23 kind of), or Twisted Republic a go.
After hours joints (after 2AM) :
Gazebo Khao sarn road (also a new branch on Sukhumvit soi 1)
Tunnel the old stand-by (Soi 5, lang Suan) - can get closed down early
Scratch Dog (basement of Windsor Suk Soi 20) more Thai than farang
Spice (soi 11, Ambassador carpark) good solid crowd most of the time
Spicy (wrong muang soi 5)
And last but not least Boss2 (soi OA rachaprop)
Another solid option based upon your OP is Akane Massage (NOT FULL SERVICE well not typically). Good to decent massage with options to include salt scrub followed by nice massage and HJ. They have location both at the BTS Chit Lom, and on Sukhumvit Soi 33. This place might be a good option for you because there will be no pressure for full service and the ladies generally know how to treat a man.
And last but not least a tour from Doc Lov can be money well spent for a newbie. Get in touch with him and he can set up a tour to meet your needs.

BTW I did do a search but everything I found on this type of subject was from 03' 04' and I figured a few things have changed. How far Glow and Twisted from Atenee? Walking distance or BTS\Taxi?
I know there isn't an abundance of MP's near Atenee but is there nightlife at all within walking distance?

Your Hotel is on Wireless Rd and close to Pioenchit Sky train
Use the Sky train in the afternoons as the Traffic is BAD.
Ok Friday afternoon after your work is over hit your Hotel clean up three S come to mind. (shit shave and Shower)
You could catch the Sky train to say NANA Station walk on say corner Soi 7 (a SOI is a Street) turn down that Soi Subway is on the Corner,theres a few bars with many girls down the end of that sub Soi and also there's the Famous EDEN CLUB just opp the Down Under Bar, Now I say drop in there meet Rob ask him the going price etc so you have an idea, at the end of the month the girls need rent money and one can get a better deal!
Also it might have been Quite so that applies again
As your only there for a Minute (Not Long) I'd stop at the Down Under Bar have a drink VB Aussie beer and a chat ask some Questions?

To answer your question for directions to Glow get on the BTS at Ploenchit go 2 stops to Asoke. Walk towards Soi Cowboy as a nice stop off for a drink or two. Continue towards Soi 23, turn left you can walk down past an Italian Resturaunt named Guisto. Turn right and about 100 metres on the left you will se a Johnny Walker sign with "GLOW" on it, you turn left and it is about 30 metres on the left. Twisted is near Bed Supper Club on Soi 11.
