Dear usual suspects, I should spend most of next week relaxing in BKK so don't mind staying a bit far from Silom. Would be cool for a change to stay near Ratchada and in the same time night clubs in suk sub sois. Any suggestion for serviced appartment in the same range of Emporium Suites (fully booked) or The Ascott (my favourite home in BKK lately but far up on Sathorn) ?? Kind regards, AP

Well, judging from the responses so far, I'd say it's got everyone stumped. Are there high-end serviced apartments out in Ratachada? I'm not sure. Maybe booking a hotel first and then exploring would be best. I can offer up this little gem in that area: Veronica Residence A pad fit for Austin Powers if there ever was one. I'll be staying in a jacuzzi suite this weekend, if you want to know more. It's just down the street from the Chaophya Park Hotel and might be share the same owner. Guests have access to facilites and share a shuttle between properties.

How much do you pay? I wonder what the best discount rate is. Looks nice, thanks!

Skip, keep us updated, might be a fun place where to spend a couple of nights... Otherwise I didn't find any such high end serviced appartment in Ratchada and will spend the week in Lang Suan as hollidays started with a half day work and might well go on that way... About the Hamptons site, they seem to be only offering 1months +rentals but got through them last summer a very good deal for the Premier Suite in Meritus. Gave it up coz of their unclear guest policy but still worth to check that site for longer says. AP, thirld world is wonderful

Hi all, my first trip to Thailand, back in 2001, I stayed on Ratchada. It was a buddy's wedding and we all had rooms at the Choaya Praya Park Hotel. It was a Steal at 1500 baht a night (wedding party special) walking distance from Posaiden (sp?), but I stayed there for 2 weeks when I moved back for good. I think I payed 15,000 baht for the 2 weeks, which I thought was bargain for the quality of the hotel. I still must give my recommendation of Patumwan House across from MBK, for 16,000 baht a month fully serviced. I lived there for 6 months. good luck AP, atl

good luck AP,
Lol! That's a heck of a website! A guy basically comes over and says he's looking for cool large slick apartment to booze and screw a week out and he's greeted by a "Good luck" from fellow members, like he was gonna go to Irak! Thanks Atl ! Fellows in Looneyplanet would have been trying to castrate me long before Anyway accomodation has proven a headache, moved from Mayfair to Natural Ville and hope I'll get a decent room tomorrow back in Ascott, why look anywhere else?? Just had a fun experience with a *very* fair CM gal while GF was watching and it just doesn't take much postgraduate studies to fathom why BKK rings so right!

Slightly similar to this. I'm looking for a 2 bed serviced apartment for a few nights in central BKK (around Nana or Soi Cowboy). Anyone have any suggestions? I have already looked at Boss tower. Thanks for any help.

I like the Rembrandt (towers), and Jasime Suites around Cowboy, and President Solitaire up Soi 11 near QBar. Googleable, but if you need a link, I'll provide one. Reservations and rate quotes at the first two best made by email.
