Hi!!
I am wondering if any of you have any experience with booking the hotel in BKK ovet the net? The thing is that all hotels I have seen require that you send your credit card details to them and I am a bit hesitant to do this. Has anyone of you any experience of this?
The website I was going to book via claims that the credit card details are encrypted before beeing sent directly to the hotel and stored on an offline server. The hotel seems to be genuine and understanding of my problem (I´ve had email contact with them) and I do not think that anything would happen but I am still hesitatn. Any suggestions?

forgot to add
If you are booking a hotel which is unknown to you then just book 2 or 3 days. If you are not happy then move on. Or extend your booking on line if the hotel will not give you the same rate at the desk.

May I ask which hotel you booked? Which have you booked in the past? Would just feel a bit safer if it turs out to be that the one I was thinking of booking was one that you´ve booked and not had a problem with.

Forgot to ask if you booked straight via the hotels website or via for example "thailandhotels.com" or something like that.

Hey brother Swede, when I booked the Nana hotel for May and the Ruamchitt Plaza hotel for last month I booked online through asia .com and I didn't have to make any advance payments. Just pay for the first day in advance when you check in. However when I booked the Long Beach hotel in Cha Am they did require payment by credit card at that time. I haven't received my Oct. statement yet so I don't know if there are any surprises coming my way, but everything seemed above board so I don't expect any problems. Peace

I have booked on the net and have not had any problems at all when I book in Asia, normally they do not even want my credit card info, it seems the only problems I do have are when I book North American hotels and have to give out my credit card.

Hi there...had no problems bookin through the net, infact its alot cheaper bookin via the net. Credit card details....well not a problem.
Will be in Bangkok in another few days time...
