Hi Guys,
Does anyone have any feedback on Landmark Hotel on Sukhumvit?
I have been inside the lobby and it seems very nice. But are they guest/girl friendly?

I have seen statements in this forum that it is G-friendly.
I spent a couple of evenings in the "Huntsman Pub" in the cellar (entrance via escalator from outside, not reception) The food was good and the band is very good. The place allows for you to dance, enjoy the music or have a conversation with your lady. However, it is not a place to pick up a girl but to take her.

Hi Kris
When I worked for a multi-national Co. I was always booked into Landmark Hotel. Some faceless department did the bookings.
But even when I wasn't paying, I bagan to think " It is costing 1000 baht per HOUR to be laid in this bed" No pun intended.
Now it is my own money I think differently. I am quite happy to move down the scale a little since I never use any hotel facilities. For a similar amount of nightly spend I can get drinks and a girl included. But yes the Huntsman pub is a good place to take a girl.
The official line at the hotel about guests is that they should be out of the hotel by 11.30.
I was questioned at first when I took a girl there but later since I was a regular guest on the Landmark floor I used to get " looks" from the security staff and at night there were a few of them, I was never challenged.
So there shouldn't be a guest problem but I am going back a couple of years.

Hello Kris,
I have stayed at the Landmark Hotel many times. This is a gread hotel, especially for the price. Some might say that it is expensive for Thailand, but for around $100 including tax, ect ... it rocks!! They are guest friendly. They will ask for the guests id, but other then that, no hassles. The rooms are very comfortable, and the hotel staff is very professional and friendly. If you also want to hang out, their lounge is good place. Steve is the piano player there and is very cool.
A place that sucks is the Amari Atrium. They are NOT guest friendly and will even try to jack you for more money if you want anyone that is female and Thai to visit your room. The hotel managers are NOT professional and not friendly.
Go stay at the Landmark!!!

I agree with you about the Landmark. It is a good hotel.
I just made the judgement since I actually use the hotel so little. I go to BKK for business not vacation so I am usually out early and just pass through to shower and then out again.
Just my personal choice

Yup .. we agree that the LandMark is a good hotel, but yes, it can be expensive .. especially if you don't use any of the facilities.
Another thing I like about the hotel is location. It is right next to the skytrain stop for easy access, nana plaza is a hop skip and a jump away, on the 4th floor they have a great fintess club, McDonalds is 5 streets away, and centrally located on sukumvit.

Thanks guys for the thumbsup on the Landmark. I know I will be paying a much higher rate than the Bt.1,700 I paid at the Ambassador the last couple of times I visited. But then there is no comparison really between the two. This time around I was hoping to try out the Majestic Suites but since we are in a group of more than half a dozen guys, I am going along with them on the hotel. Atleast it is nice to know they have an easy policy on guests.
