Anyone know the current status of the Windsor Suites on Sukhumvit regarding girl friendliness? I read a few posts months ago saying that there were joiner fees of up to $1000 baht... anyone stayed there lately and can give me a brief report? Thanks.

I've stayed there several times and never dared try and bring a TG back. It's a long walk across the lobby and there are security staff stationed at the lifts/elevators (tho there is a side door). I never saw anyone looking like a TG either arriving or leaving. Don't really know why I stay there apart from proximity of Soi Cowboy....Japanese resto closes on the dot of 2.

I brought girls up there on four occasions. Once, I was stopped at the elevator by security and charged 1000 baht. Otherwise, it's a nice place for the money: Two rooms, 2 TVs, an in-room safe, good breakfast buffet. TV has HBO.

I agree with Thaifan above: rooms are spacious, excellent, breakfast buffet v good. But it is a fair step from the Skytrain and arriving at 4 one pm was not amused to be told rooms were not ready.

A very nice hotel and great value for money at baht 2350 a night. There is a joiner fee of baht 1000 for each lady. Had once 6 ladyes with me and it was 6000 baht. Not a place that realy welcomes bargirls. The fee is collected from 22.oo. If you have a lady in your room they will come exactly 22.oo and collect the 1000 baht.
If you just go for p4p I will not recommend this hotel.

Any bros stayed here? If so how are they in terms of value, quality and guest friendliness? I know I am posting a lot on places - But this is my first trip without the better half - so I do want to make the best of it.

I've stayed there before, but won't anymore because they're not guest friendly. I brought girls up to my room four times, and was once charged an extra 800 THB. It depends on the security person who happens to be watching the elevator.
It's located about halfway between Soi Cowboy and Soi 33.
Otherwise, the hotel is a very good value, for about 1900. You get an extra sitting room with a sofa, with TV in both rooms. Rooms have a safe, a large bathroom, and there's a nice breakfast buffet.

I stayed in WS for a week over last NY cause I couldn't get anywhere else half decent. It's definitely not GF. If they catch you trying to bring someone in who is not registerd, the "introduction fee" is THB1000/visit. However, as TA said, the guards are sometimes distracted. It's a large, very busy hotel. The suite (2 rooms) are very large and well appointed incl safe in room. I was forwarned that it was not GF and booked a double. When I checked in I told reception that my companion was coming later that nite. Afterwards I went on a desperate search for a suitable "partner" to register for the week. Found someone the first nite & registered her (kept the extra key). However, not sufficiently great LT experience to keep her for the week. Took her back for one more LT and filled-in the rest of the week with ST stints with other girls away from the hotel.

I stayed at Windsor Suites recently. The room was fine. But the service was crap. I don't think I saw one of their staff smile the entire time I was there. I like having a good time and joking around. The employees there must really have a jerk of a boss. Thai people are normally so friendly, but not there.
There was a nice disco called Glaciers that had alot of honeys. But the 1000 baht joiner fee stopped me from even attempting to bring any of them to my room.
I'll never stay there again. Terrible place overall for a single guy who enjoys the company of a Thai lady as well as an enjoyable environment.
