THANKS SKIP, I KNOW THESE PLACES. What Im concerned about is if they are GF FRIENDLY. For example, Emporium quotes an 'Extra Bed charge' of 1250baht. Is this code for overnight GF? In general at a serviced apartment rented by the month will they try to charge for TGF's?

DRBOB,, May I suggest that if you rent a "serviced apartment" you have a large say on who you invite to said apartment. If you rent a car and then decdide to take a passenger in that car you would not expect to pay extra.
OK having siad that there are some places that may attempt to charge you extra.

After you decide then telephone or e-mail the apartment to ensure there will be no problem bring your " BUSINESS GUESTS" there for meetings

'Extra bed' means a extra bed for your kid to sleep in etc. Your TGF's will be more than happy to sleep in the king sized one...
Generally: Serviced apartments are GF, the apartments recommended on this board sure are.

Jasmine City is friendly for anything. No hassles no matter what you want to do. One price for everything, no deposit, great location, and broadband included.
I use to stay at the Sheraton on my own dime for 1-3 weeks. Now I am totally sold on the Serviced Apartment concept if you are paying for it, and you are staying longer then a week. For what works out to $50/night, I live in a one bdr, living room, kitchen apartment. Have all the cooking gear, have people clean the room and do the dishes every day, and have no hassles what so ever from the staff. Not to mention the fact that you actually have a real refrigerator that you can stock up from the local 7-11. The room quality is on par with what you get at a 4 star hotel in bkk.
Serviced Apartment is the way to go.

thanks Baquawn for the first hand prime info. I peeked around Jasmine last June while in BKK. Looked like the prime location near Asoke and all. Didnt ask to see any rooms however. And also no hassles at Jasmine with GF's  Its what I'm looking for!
Are u there now at Jasmine City? How's the broadband working. Wireless or wire? How's the satellite TV if you checked?

Been here for 3 months so far. Broadband is fine. It has its ups and downs for speed on occasion. I don't watch much TV, but they have BBC, CNN, Discovery, ESPN, Cinemax, and a selection of Thai, Jap, Chin, Korean channels. Not a lot, but at least the min.
The majority of people staying here are Jap guys doing some long term business.
I think they have wireless down in the main lobby. I am normally a wireless kinda guy, but the apartment has a nice desk and chair to do computer work, so I have not missed wireless (Even though I bought my own system which I have been too lazy to get up and running).
California Fitness is just downstairs, which is a constant motivation, as there are tons of hot girls around there constantly. There is a good Italian place right across from California Fitness that delivers food to your room. 7-11 and Motorbike taxis across the street. Late night restuarants across the street. Half a dozen MP places down the street, and Soi Cowboy is within spitting distance.

All true ^, of course, but you still have to walk a block to get to the MRT and another still to get on to the BTS. But save for that factor, the locale is quite good.
Emporium has moreso and all within the complex.
Say, Baquan- does California WOW have a pool?

No pool at WOW. Jasmine has one.
BTS and Subway are only a 20 Baht motorbike taxi away if you are too lazy to walk a block. If you are at the Emporium you still have to walk a block to get to the subway, and that is after taking the BTS.
I never looked at the Emporium, just the price. I did not think there were any worthy advantages of the place to justify me paying more. I have plenty of Pimp factor here
