Not deluxe but no one bothers me to bad no free wifi. And pay wifi sucks. Good Breakfast.

Here's a small example of why I love Tim (thaihoteldiscounts.com). In Dec I was stuck in TPE due to the BKK closing. Had a friend coming in from Manila and he never was able to make it. Everything was credited and refunded after changing the res. a number of times. The reservations booked with the big sites all f***ed me. Bangkok Air f***ed me. Air Asia f***ed me. Tim didn't. Yesterday I booked a hotel with him that cost 2800 after all the nonsense I put him through 6 months ago, he owed me 2500 and he called it a push. Who does that ? Tim's straight up. He's got a new website coming up and he'll be working with Agoda. I accrue a lot of starpoints and usually stay with them, so he wasn't even making any money off of me. What else can I tell you. Agoda has great prices and so-so service. Tim will take care of the rest. I've pimped him enough I guess. wj

Each of the 4 times I've stayed there (so far), they've given me a suite upgrade at no additional charge. 54 sq m with kitchenette, two 26 inch flat screen tvs, bathroom had separate tub and walk-in shower.

Internet: 500 baht extra
This is the best hotel deal I've gotten in Bangers since booking the Shangri-La on Priceline for $55 USD in '03, and upgrading to a suite for $25 extra.

Standard room at THB 1300, secured directly from hotel web site last week in July.
This is a local 3-star level property operated by a westerner. Basic, for a place to sleep. Not really amenitized [pool, gym, lobby] for comfortably lounging about outside the room, unless you hit the bar [open evenings].
Modest European breakfast - coffee, tea, breads. Rooms themselves are plain, but freshly painted, decorated and furnished at a level above the room itself, so not too bad.
Pros: GF friendly; Toxic bar downstairs; staff was on the ball with reservations, house-keeping, etc., no surprises.
Cons: While mid-Sukhumvit is a convenient location, the hotel is at the very END of soi 18, too long to comfortably walk, unless you see it as exercise; construction next door is bothersome if you want to sleep during the daytime.

don't think so, discounted rate for standard room should be 1'200 baht (original 1'400 baht). stay 5 or more days, pay 1'000 baht.
construction next door is nearly done, so noise should be minimal.
Toxic opens 5pm. Food menu is available.

Just got 3400 for the "corner room" at the Conrad - not sure if that is a good price, but it was on one of their offers.
G/F - definately - different girl most nights without feeling awkward
Breakfast - No
Internet - free in lobby, lounge and pool, but aprox 600 Bt in room
Pros.. Very impressed with the Conrad, no hastle whatsoever, friendly and attentative staff, without being "in your face", excellent rooms with modern bathrooms - including rubber duck - (as most of you know).... but my best bit.... were the numerous office girls working/shopping/farting about at the All Seasons Office/Shopping Complex next door.... makes a change from the dross down at the Suk... 
Cons.... location (about 6 minutes walk to BTS)
I have just put the Conrad back to the top of my list... providing they keep to sensible rates.

Thanks romeland, this is a good deal. Travel Zoo had a similar offer with breakfast last June/July for $97 US. The corner room is a nice upgrade, it has a small walkin closet, nice foyer entry hall, and the bathroom is large. Additionally the late check out is sweet.
In July I attained my 20th stay at the BKK Conrad the hotel gave me a gift of a free Limo (the large Mercedes Benz Limo, not a rtb limo) ride to the airport and Hotel steward to carry my luggage, guide, assist me thru the airport check in process and customs.
