Do not miss the good Danish food. It is fantastic and cheap. The Saturday and Sunday buffet lunches are extremely good.
Just food for thought.
They should be girl friendly. The owners also run Club99 just across on Sukhumvit Soi 7. There is a very good Philippino band, 3 gorgeous girls. The mamasan Noi is around 63 years old and likes to show her tits. They are actually quite nice considering her age.

Ask for a room at the front of the building overlooking the pool. The rooms are a bare 3 stars and the bathroom 2 if that. At nearly 1400 baht a night it is overpriced. The food is expensive and tax is added onto the bill. Girl friendly without a doubt. Web site is http://www.stablelodge.com. This sounds like a negative review but I'd stay there again - the open air foyer, the little balconies and wooden floors of the rooms, the pool area and coconut trees makes you feel like you are in a little island resort somewhere and not in fact a stone's throw from Sukhumvit Road and the Nana skytrain. Enjoy.

Stayed there in April. The room had the sweet, sickly smell of death, probably due to a rotting rat's corpse between the floor and ceiling spaces. Stayed there only 1 day so didn't bother to complain, although when I mentioned it to chamber maid, I got incomprehenible response.
Pool was so-so. Rates were overly high, I thought.
Still, the staff were friendly, the place had a nice atmosphere. and the location couldn't be better.
