Has anyone received a bid lately from Priceline? I have gone as high $70. usd and been turned down. Last time I tried was in May.

I have not seen anyone win a bid for the JW Marriott on Sukhumvit in quite some time. I did previously see some winnings go for $75 at the beginning of the year. If you bid anything between $55 and $70 you will most likely get the Shangri-La, Westin, or Sheraton. Those seem to be the hotels that people are receiving winning bids for at this time.
Now that my corporate rate is only $69 for the JW Marriott I gave up trying to use Priceline for the same room. If you really want that hotel, you might do better getting it on your own, less the Priceline fees.

I agree with Gator420. I tried to book via priceline some 5 star hotels at Sukhumvit, but Iīm always rejected by my maximum of 70$. Donīt forget, there will be additionla charges which will be about 15-20$. Are there any members out there, who can use corporate rates and share this to others?

Bidding for travel are indicating that the Sukhumvit 5* bids being accepted at present are for the Westin and Sheraton for around $60.
Not seen a JWM for some time, I stayed there in January and I liked it (except breakfast price) I booked that through Priceline.
Anyone any tips for corporate rate? A PM or post would be very much appreciated.

anybody tried to contact the hotel directly recently and see if they would accept offers directly in the same price range ? I heard that it was possible before, but I don't know what rate they would be accepting right about now. I would try, but I can't confirm my next trip plans just yet.

No way to get a cheap rate. Tried it 2 times this Mai and last year in November. All the prices are over 125 US$.
But I think the location of the JW is unbeaten compared with others
