I'm the guilty member who couldnt find it and went to Toxic for directions, lost my phone 5 hrs later so was out of contact for the rest of the trip, wasnt a bad thing though, the G/f couldnt find out where I was 1/2 the time, the other 1/2 I didnt know where I was

Stayed 4 nights for the first time. I can only warmly recommend this hotel. Rooms are nice, location is just fine.
My room included : Internet, Flat TV, DVD reader, a lock box,
and a splendid view to the bathroom  ...
I'll be pleased to return on December !

This transparent wall between bath and bedroom... I'm not sure I like this...
Leaves no choice ye know... Lotsa TGs are somewhat shy and prefere to use the bathrom in privacy... Although I do love joined shower action and such I always leave it to them to agree or decline...
How do the shy girls cope with a transparent wall? Maybe jeanpat can report on this?

just spent another 8 days here, and very very happy. 2 Mates who work in Singapore came down and stayed 5 nights and to say they were happy is a understatment. Had 6 girls in the pool one night, Ledge was lifeguard and staff were very understanding. Never seen a fatter bloke in speedos, but they werent on for long.
Great place to stay, nothing is too much trouble for staff

Tim, you currently have Darjelling priced at 1220Bt per night. I reckon thats a good deal for a 3 star and in the interests of trying a different hotel every trip I think tihis one derserves a look. Location handy to Cowboy. I've finally stopped booking hotels with buffet breakfasts as I tend to gorge myself so much I have to go back to bed and sleep it off. The pool looks dumb, looks more like a jacuzzi. Is free WiFi still going?
I stayed at Dream Hotel last time and was disappointed - so I won't be going back there!

Yes the free wifi is there for all now.
The pool is a Jacuzzi. A bargain at 1,220 Baht per night. No better place.
No matter what hotel you are after, sure I can get a good price from one of the 3 websites I have.

After talking with saucytim we booked 5 nights at the end of May. Got confirmation back from saucytim in 1 day. Good customer service.
We haven't stayed there before, but last time we were in BKK we (Thai wife and I) took a look at the rooms. This time, wife said "book this hotel" so we did.
You just have to know exactly where it is (deep within the courtyard) otherwise you will be like Scrog80, taking a wander.

We have stayed 1 night so far, and here is my initial review:
Booking with saucytim was a breeze. Nice and simple and we got confirmation quickly.
When we arrived for check-in the girl spent quite a bit of time looking at the confirmation letter from saucytim. Eventually she called some one and it was fine. But, she only wanted to give us 1 key card. It took quite a bit of talking to get a 2nd card. And, they weren't about to give us the free wifi until I asked a couple of times.
The room is small. It probably depends how much time you are going to spend in the room to decide if it is too small. The bed is big, there is a small work area for your laptop. Looks like separate wifi AP on each floor. Wifi works, but its not real fast. But, it does work.
Bathroom is big, but doesn't use space very well. 2 of us are kind of crowded, what with all the wife's makeup and stuff. Plus, only 2 small hanger for towels (in fact, they stack the clean towels inside the bathroom for you, since there is no where to hang them). Tub/Shower is fine, although I found the hot water variable. Water didn't drain in the tub, so we had to call maintenance.
Not much space to store stuff (but that's probably because we have a lot of stuff - the average traveler will probably find more than enough room).
The room safe provided 30 minutes of laughter. I followed directions but the safe didn't work. So we called them and 3 people came up (typical Thai). At first they figured "dumb farang", but then they couldn't make it work either. After about 25 minutes they called a 4th person, who came and showed them how to do it. "New safe", they said, and left. BTW, I saw them use the master key many times - so as others said beware that anyone with access to that key has access to everything in your room safe.
The included ABF is fine. Not a lot of food, but enough. You choose from a bunch of different "set" menus. We had rice soup with pork, tea/coffee, and fresh fruit (except we didn't get any fruit because the markets were closed for Buddha day so we got orange juice instead). All-in-all, reasonable breakfast if you don't want/need a lot of food.
Air con works, as does the TV/DVD player. Refrigerator as well. Enough electrical plugs, which is always a sore point in hotels.
All-in-all, after 1 full day, I give the place a strong B because of the attractive price and location.
