The Landmark is offering the following direct if you want a Jr. Suite. Ask for the Suite Sensation Package. It will give you Jr. Suite Club floor, 3 pieces of laundy/Dry cleaning per day/Breakfast/ and they will pick you up and drop you off at airport in their car. The cost is 5K Baht per day, minimum stay of 3 nights. I did this is May/June timeframe, and they just offered it to me again. Great hotel good service. It was very GF at the time.

Thanks for the info regarding Landmark. A few questions for those who have stayed there. I am thinking about booking the "Suite Sensation" deal at $5000 baht/night. 1) Is the pool under renovation? I read on one website that the pool would be undergoing renovation until September (could be an old web page...) 2) Does the junior suite have two rooms? 3) How many bathrooms? 4) Does one have to pay extra for internet service? 5) How many TVs? 6) Do the TV's have the regular ten thai channels or do they offer in room movies/ more extensive channel selection? 7) Are there other amenities like stereo/CD player/ DVD player? Thanks for any and all answers.

I stayed in 2 different suites, as I broke my time up some and went to Phuket. Both had two rrom, two Tv's and 1 bathroom. Batrhrooms were large with seprate shower and tub. No cd'/DVD players or anything else. Internet had an extra charge while I was there.

i left there a few days back, its nice but ordinary unless a suite, our suite had 40 channels, elegant bathroom seperate shower to bath, glass see through to room (hmmm nice) great views...but thats it folks!..sure theres movies , top views....nice room service, but no cd or special shit, Bye the way its alittle more tham 5000 baht!

I just stayed at the Landmark for a short biz trip for the first time. yes its good, but several other hotels and SA's are better at MUCH lower costs.
the only advantage (and why I chose it this time) was its proximity to the action lol

I just booked my hotel at the Landmark using hoteltravel.com. However in the same e-mail they state that I need to settle my payment when I check out and later in the e-mail they state that I do not need to pay the hotel and that this is a pre-pay service and my credit card will be charged on a specified date. Which is it?

Depdocdog and other readers - the pool was under major repair till Sept of 2001 - that was when I stayed there. Unless someone has news of another major overhaul - that's it.
I don't understand the attraction of the place - I will never go back - it was a classic newbie ripoff joint - megabaht for anything and everything - sure it had nice fittings, nice furniture, uniformed staff and was about as personal as using an ATM.
What is the attraction guys? I sure missed something because its plain that lots of you love the place - 5000 baht a night - thats a lot of love in this town.
