Hi Geminn03,
The free water comes in a stainless steel jug,which is filled in the morning when the rooms are cleaned. Asked for a refill one evening and it was done.
Well its a good hotel as far as I am concerned. I just need a clean bed, a clean bath and toilet and I do get it there. Breakfast is good. Cannot expect loads of facilities at 900+ bhats per night.

Hi guys, I'll be in BKK on end of March and currently thinking to stay in Manhattan Hotel. Is this hotel still girl friendly? How's the contruction noise going? It looks like we can avoid it by staying in the rooms facing front?

I also plan on staying there. If no one answers, I'd suggest contacting the hotel directly via E-Mail and ask about the construction. A few months ago, they told me construction went from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, but that may not be correct.

Contacted Precision Reservations sales rep last night, and she said the construction is still going on, so I've given up and booked another hotel already. don't want to spoile my precious bangkok holiday.

Have been staying there every month or so, and never suffered any disturbance, but I do stay on the soi 15 side (entrance side) of the hotel so no problem

I got a message from Manhattan on the construction. They said it went from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm on the back side of the hotel and it was light construction. I have a feeling there is also some light construction on the front as well.

Just spent the last 14 days at the hotel, it hasn't changed much in the last year.
There was no construction noise on the soi side, noise on the other side was light.
The 2 free bottles of water ended, but still got the newspaper under the door in the morning.
The breakfast buffet is still the same.
They do check whether you have booked a double. They didn't give me any problem with doubles, but I'm not sure this is the norm. Heh, isn't a double when you bring 2 back?
They only have one floor of non-smoking rooms. It can be hard getting into a room on the soi side with a king bed on that floor.
There's still plenty of hot water in the morning. I just wish they'd remodel the bath so 3 would fit in the shower better.
I'll probably stay there next trip. At bt1040 for a double it's still a bargain.

Just stayed here. Communial bits - reception, etc great. Lifts, pool, corridors ok. Room in real need of makeover. Furniture and carpet ok, but walls - yuk. Paper peeling, stained etc, especially over the TV so you can't miss it! Aske for a room away from building work, but had to put up with one for one night. Then moved to an end one - Suk end - that was almost as noisy. Started about 0700, tailed off around 2000hrs.
Breakfast ok, and still girl friendly - but they did check to see whether I'd booked a double or not. If a single booked they quoted something like 441Baht - or some other strange exact figure!
Girls leave ID card at reception, but there's no phne call to check all's well when they leave.
Got mightily hacked off at tailors and luggage sellers between hotel and Sukhumvit! Even goty hastle for a suit when I was carrying one made bt another tailor!

Those tailors between the Manhattan and Suk are relentless, I started to head down Soi 15 and cut around to Soi 17 just to avoid them
