Yopi, why not stay in a Majestic Grande Deluxe room? Seems to fit all three.

Tim, thank you for this proposition, sounds good. However they don't mention that internet in room is free or charge. Would you confirm this please?

Yopi, Internet is not free, It is charged per hour, or 550 Baht for 24 hours access. One of my customers advised that you must not log off, otherwise you won't be able to get back on. If internet access is really important, may be one of the President group or Centre Point group where internet is free.

After long and hard searching, I've finally decided on Centre Point Sukhumvit as my Hotel of choice. The regaular 1 bedroom suite is 73 sqm, has free internet, has free breakfast, and even has a washing machine. On Asiarooms.com it lists for $100 per night all inclusive. Seems like the best deal for me. Just wanted to check with you guys though, the pictures look great, but how are the rooms here? New? Run Down? Air Conditioning Good? Noisy? Hot Water Pressure Okay? Nonexistant? And although I believe it's Girl Friendly, has anyone had any problems with joiner fees here before? Thanks Again, -a

Centre Point – decent rooms, good breakfast, noise not a problem, air conditioning – good, hot water – good, free tuk-tuk service to the end of the soi.

Hi all, I am in urgent need of advice to decide on a hotel for my maiden trip to BKK. Unfortunately I just don't have the time to sit and read through all the reports and make a decision on where to stay so I'll list my requirements and hope for a recommendation. + Price around $80USD (A MUST) + Wireless/wired internet in room (A MUST) + Good location (near skytrain, eden or akane33) + Mirrors in rooms (around bed) (DESIRED, but not necessary) + Good decor (PREFERRED) + Room with a view (city) (DESIRED, but not necessary) + Security (safe, entrance security) + Decent breakfast included (A MUST) + No charge for late checkin/out (can checkin/out whenever I want) (PREFERRED) I have found a few in the past that I have shortlisted based on information I have had from this, and other forums and here they are in order of current preference. 1. Majestic Suites 2. Majestic Grande (more expensive) 3. Swiss Grottino 4. Town Lodge Art Deco Hotel 5. Giotto's Lodge (Livingstone's) Which of these would you recommend/not recommend, or are there any places that are far superior in terms of value when compared with these? I look forward to posting some reports when I get to sample the delights of Thailand!

Dynasty Grande, soi 6, will give you most value for your money. Fill's up most of your wishes. Breakfast not included, but you budget leaves room for it in their restaurant, which is ok, but nothing special.

After midnight checkin? Anyone know what the policies at most hotels I mentioned are on this? Looks like I'll be landing in BKK just before midnight and by the time I get out of Customs and Immigration I'm sure it'll be well after that. I've also been tipped to stay at Royal President Serviced Apartments, which isn't bad, it's on Soi 15 so it's close enough to most of the action I guess. I don't mind walking a bit.
