Any guest who is not registered. Some hotels will allow you to register a second person or book a double, but most will not fall for that trick and charge if you take a guest in your room irrespective of the time.

So in most cases they will allow you to take a girl to your room, but you have to pay.

All hotels will let u bring in a guest regardless of booking a single or twin/double.

Guest friendly means u can book a twin/double and bring back an overnight guest without an extra charge.

If you do not book at a guest friendly hotel, you will simply need to pay a joiner fee. If you bring back more than 1 guest, you will probably have to pay a joiner fee for the second guest. as Twin/Double rooms are for 2 persons occupancy. Unless u r staying at the Town Lodge. Where its laid back, and u could have an orgy without an extra charge.

Don't fully agree with that statement.

Guest friendly doesn't mean that you have to book specifically a twin/double room. It means there will be no charge regardless of you're booking a single or twin/double. Even non guest friendly (or better girl friendly here in Thailand) might allow you a guest without a charge if you book a double.

Guest friendly Hotels in Thailand must then fall into the following categories:-

(1) Hotels not charging a joiner`s fee whether or not a single or twin/ double is booked, and with the number of guests limited only by the room/bed size.

(2) Hotels not charging a joiner`s fee whether or not a single or twin/double is booked so long as the number of guests is limited to 1,or at the most 2.

(3) Hotels not charging a joiner`s fee so long as a twin/double is booked, and with the number of guests limited only by the room/bed size.

(4) Hotels not charging a joiner`s fee so long as a twin/double is booked, and guests are limited to 1,or at the most 2, unless perhaps a suite is booked when a larger number of guests might be allowed.

In my experience(Town Lodge or perhaps Grottino aside) (1) and (2) are to be found,if at all, outside Bangkok.

In Bangkok I doubt if many(or any) would as a matter of declared hotel policy fall into (3).If (3) occured it would always(or almost always ) be because hotel staff could not care less,or were paid to look the other way.

In my admittedly limited Bangkok hotel experience guest friendly hotels fall into (4).

And hotels in Pattaya are usually more relaxed than their counterparts in Bangkok....

Dr,

Single rooms mean 1 person only in the room.

Twin/Double means double occupancy.
Triple means 3 persons occupancy.

Guest friendly allows you to change the guest daily without needing to add them into the hotel reservation.

Some hotels have the same price for Single and Twin/Double and some have different prices. Therefore if a customer books only Single, then the room is for only 1 person regardless of if itss guest friendly or not.

Take Swiss Park for example, if you book a Single room, yu will need to pay a joiner fee. Although if you book Twin/Double, no joiner for a guest.

No big deal, as most hotels single and Twin/Double are the same price.

The Davis might be a place that supports all of Valetta's categories, according to my experience...

Agree with DD here. Only one time out of 4 years has someone questioned me about a guest and wanted their ID or something, and he was one of the bell boys who was always pestering me if I came in alone if I needed some massage girl or call something else for me. It was quite annoying after a while.

I am happy he doesn't work here for over a year now.
