Just searching for deals and saw the Landmark is at $70, no b'fest, no wifi,
but lot's cheaper than a few weeks ago.
JW is still on wotif @3500, but $$ price on travel websites stays above $150.

Any deal on the Landmark is a deal.
I stayed there and loved it.
I need to plan to get back there.....
It is right around the corner from NEP and is a really nice place if you have the money...

Both hotels.com and expedia showed a "twofer", $140 and the 2nd nite free.
All in price for 4 nites (july 26-30) was $330, includes taxes, fees of app. $13/nite.
Landmark is all over the place though, Travelocity has it above $140 with no 2nd nite, and Agoda showed no availability.
BTW, hotels.com showed "4" as availability, while expedia made no mention of this special offer having limited room availability.

Always, although difficult if calling from abroad. Usually I go to the website directly and cut and paste the (Expedia/Agoda, etc..) link in the Inquiry Notes field, tell them I really like the Hotel but need a better price - sometimes you get an upgrade for the same price, occasionally get a bit lower - its worth a try especially if your staying a week or longer.
Also used the Travel Agency in the Internet shop at Times Square, I got a pretty good deal at the Grand Millennium by asking the TG what was the best price for a 5 star -she came back with several options, one was the GM for 3000bht upgrade to Deluxe or the Dream Standard at 2100bht. I took the GM -real nice room.
I like Apolo's approach on wotif.com site, very clever!

Reserving Dream hotel through http://www.hrs.com for stays of 6 days or longer, you get one free night. Total for the 6 days is US$ 340 inclusive of service and taxes (with breakfast included). That comes to just over THB 1,900 per night. I think for that hotel it is a great deal.
If you are staying 12 days, make two consecutive reservations of 6 days, and you get 2 days free (if you make it a single 12 days reservation, you get only 1 day free).

Found the hotels I stay at have dropped even further for a September stay:
Centre Point Petchburi - 1800 Baht (down from 2000, 2100, and 2500)
Grande Centre Point Radjadamri - 3100 a night.
I like the Petchburi location, but the Grande had great and reliable internet (internet reliability is the achilles heel of the Petchburi location - so the way I see it, I would rather pay 1300 Baht extra for less headaches with internet connectivity - because the 2 hours a day I need to work on it, basically pay for the entire stay).
Either way, the prices have dropped even more since May -- gotta love me a recession.
