or just email a scan of your receipt to Vikingblood.
Are you absolutely certain you stayed at the Grand President on Soi 11? There are a number of other hotels on Soi, all with the "president" name, and a confusion is more than understandable.
Besides the Grand President, there is the President Palace, the President Solitaire, the Royal President... etc..

Since Sukhumvit 11 is mentioned in the post we can eliminate Royal President from the list, unless he got the soi mixed up as well.

In Thailand I understand there are many different facets to any circumstance however I am not a liar and I would suggest somebody at your hotel is taking a great lend of the truth...
If you could list a set of questions I will answer when possible...
I am a genuine person who has no animosity towards your hotel and do not wish to create an issue although it appears your guest that has reported this is fairly more inconvenienced than I have been.... I myself moved out of the room that had a camera and into a room that didn't.. I was happy in BKK and I am happy today... POM RAK MULENG THAI.. But I do not understand the levels of dishonesty Thai people can accept.... The camera was an Infrared remote controlled camera of indescriminate branding.. The cable attached appeared to run toward the east to the room next door.....
Please inform me of the outcome of your investigation ASAP or I will further my notifications where I think applicable..

Afther my communications with GM at Grand President I am now 100% sure Blonk is just making up this story. He has still not provided any proof. I can also confirm that they take this very seriously.
Blonk must have a sad life in Thailand since he dont have any better things to do than providing stories like this.
I hope he will get the upgrade of room that he deserves. A room where he can practise his thai gloses and where they for sure has cameras.

I think we all with the latest posts have been shown what this is all about. Vikingblood has very well pointed out all the important discrepancies in this story. It seems to me that no shadow falls over GP and as I am a visitor who have stayed there, and with other hotels in the group, for several years I feel totally convinced that they still have my full confidence.
The other day I booked my next visit with GP which is due shortly. I asked them briefly about this story and they just sighed. I can understand that. Every now and then there turns up a person with an issue that can not be seriously discussed. I think all of us now knows what this is all about and it is of course sad.
Especially when mr B starts to physically threaten a board member just for adding very adequate facts. Maybe it hurts to be caught with ones pants down. Very sad and uncalled for. Also takes all eventual seriousity out of the issue.
I think we should leave this topic now - since it is obviously some sort of personal disorder behind it all.

As I have nothing to do with GP nor will I ever stay there, I read all posted, and I believe Blonk.
Just my opinion. It does not hurt to check if you stay there. But in my view, Blonk does not lie. Something happened in his room there.
