It is pretty obvious that Bob doesn't have much of a clue, but then he is just like 90% of the tourists who go to Thailand.
They don't do much research, they ask the same questions over and over again, they make little or no effort to learn the language or the culture and then get pissed because it is so different, etc..
So don't just pick on Bob ..
As far as his website, I make a point of never clicking on any websites on a board like this.. you will get cookied to death and the pop ups occur everywhere.. there is little new out there ..

I love the way some people LOOOVE to assume things about me and my intentions when I make the trek to LOS. You know the old saying about what happens when you assume things. And I think that DEFINITELY applies here. So assume all the harsh negative things about me and my "evil intentions" as much as your heart desires.
Screwing a maid IS NOT that big of a deal to me. I'm not going to lose sleep over whether or not I get a hotel staff member in the "chicken" or not. As we all know there are PLENTY of women to choose from in Thailand. It was a simple, innocent question. No need for a lynch mob, but everyone's feelings, opinions, and experiences on the matter is much appreciated.
Now whether you feel compelled to reply to THIS post into another "that goddamn Silentbob STILL doesn't get it" hissyfit, then if that will get you off, by all means throw those tantrums until you cream in your jeans.
There was no harm done in asking a simple question in an attempt to see where member's feeling lay on the topic. No lives were lost and the world is still-a-spinning. PLUS...as an added bonus to today's episode of "As BangkokTonight Turns" we all learned where the active members of the board, old AND new, stood on the topic and in some cases we all learned from the replies.
Case in point, I learned, or I should say was reminded, that it would not be a kosher idea to throw on a Barry White CD and start chasing a maid around a hotel room with a condom in each hand wearing nothing but a smile. Because as I know now, unlike years ago when I was in Pattaya, hotel staff and guest relations are frowned upon.
You live...you learn from your mistakes...you move on and don't make the same mistakes twice.
In short, to those who offered constructive criticisms and advice I do offer a big thanks for your knowledge and insight on the topic. This Bud's for you...
To those still coming after me with the lynching ropes and torches...get off the high horse, calm down and live a little. It's an innocent question on a message board.

You were basically saying that maids are, 1)Thai and 2)Low paid and consequently they may be up for a f_ck/Photoshoot even though they arent hookers.
