Sanook, in many, many visits to the Royal I never experienced anything you desdribed. Find it actually hard to belief. Think that many others agree with me. Sorry to hear that you were dissapointed, I always highly recommended the Royal and will still do in the future.

I'm just back from bkk <sigh> 
I stayed at the RP for three weeks. B-Building. 12th floor. I did so after reading the recommendations on this forum and I wasn't disappointed.
Like Manuel, I didn't experience any of the things you described.
And if there was something wrong, a call to reception was enough to get things fixed... quickly.

I have stayed here 5 times now, and have only had one bad experience - But that was due to a BG from Tilac and a rather large cucumber.......

OK, point taken. water temp. was below par....
Still, the Royal President is great value for the price they charge and I highly recommend everybody to stay here. If I needed a place to stay (?), I went to the Royal again. (Or maybe SG..)

I stayed there once and considering staying there again this summer.
Got only two complaints:
- locations is good, but not perfect (the small streets of this SOI is hard to walk...)
- my toilet had some problems flushing after sh*tting. I had to flush about 5 times to get rid of all. I believe this to be a faulty design. I called reception about it; they had a service guy in my room in 2 minutes. He just tested the flusher and looked stupid at me. Me guess you would have to test it the real way to find the fault, but I said - it seems to be OK now.
Big modern rooms, great pool area, friendly staff, no "walk of shame". Well, I have looked hard for good hotel in this area, and this hotel seems like one of the top to choose from.

Faulty design of the toilet or of your turd. Or both. Maybe the toilet was designed for a Thai turn instead of a farang turd. Perhaps a little more chili in your diet would remedy this.

Well, my diet was mostly fluid; so the toilet at my room had a shitty design. Just put that piece of info in here. Not the normal info written in hotel reviews... Important to someone...
