About a week and a half ago, while I was staying at the Windsor Suites, they had the Miss Teenage Thailand 2002 competition there. I was sitting in the lobby next to the restaurant reading the newspapers when about 8-10 of the constestants set down around me and started chatting amongst themselves. Good God, talk about gorgeous creatures. I almost had a heart attack! I had to use the newspapers to cover my woody.

question for you regarding the name thing. would appreciate your reply. would any guest name suffice, when you check in as double (any hotel)? i'm obviously not going to have a ladyfriend with me at check-in. they probably know the name is made up, but do they need it just for record keeping?

Just register/book as double. They will want your passport but no need to give a name for your guest. I haven never had a problem at the Windsor In fact, the girl with braces (she may have left for a better job) is one of the brightest and nicest girls I have met in the LOS.

Put down "Ms. (and your last name)", or a girl's name you can trust if you do have a partner. They simply want to know who's coming into their hotel because you booked a double. I tell them, in my case, exactly what I'm doing (when I will and when I won't have my partner come in). I recommend you don't "make up a name".

Personally, I've always made up a name. Every one in Thailand goes by a nickname anyway, so the name I always give is "Anne."

Sertanly not guest friendly. Had the security on my door in the evenings at 22.oo to check my companion. Booked double but still they charge you 1.000 baht. Very nice hotel but you dont realy feel comfortable taking "escorts" there.

Gee, that's a new one (they didn't literally come to your door, you mean they stopped you at 22:00).....I sure hope you had the 'Do Not Disturb' sign lit up at 22:00, if that was the case.
If they came to your door....must have been a serious reason.

Stayed at Windsor Suites from Oct 12 to Oct 22. No trouble with girls at any time, never was asked about them. The hotel is nice and comfortable, also quite impressive to the girl you bring

I have stayed at the Windsor suites many times, most recently was last weekend. I have never had a problem there with guests.
