Stayed for 5 days in May. Just about worth 1800 baht per night because of being brand new and also a great salt water pool.. But definately not worth 2250 baht.

The suites here ain't suites. They look identical to the deluxe rooms, although the bathroom is slightly bigger. When I questioned the difference at reception I was told it was a much bigger room. Huh? About 1-2 square metres if you're lucky.
They'll try and push the 'suites' if you call for a reservaton, but stick to your guns and get a deluxe room, which IMHO are very nice and still good value at 1800bt.

dynasty like many things in LOS use a formula. their formula is very much the same in all their hotels colour of carpet, size of room, fridge. they have exeptions
the biggest rooms are pool side at the resort.
In soi 4 they have some larger rooms at every end of hallway, just more space ok if you have small children, want to practice your golf swing or have an orgie.
1800 seems ok to me too cause its new, 2250 that can stick somewhere. I like the location of the soi 4 one
but the rooms are getting worn like nana hotel. Then theres the mice and god knows how much sperm splattered on the carpets. That also used to be ok for 1080, I assume I will pay 1800 for a new room and a pool and some internet I hope. Seems ok still staggering distance to everything.
Does anyone know if they throw in the free ride to Pattaya if you go from the grande in bkk to pattaya out of interest. ?

Just an update I just stayed about a week here.
Definately not good value after the 1800 baht deal stops. Ok the pool is nice, location is good, its only a few hundred metres down to lolitas, all the staff have been obviously trained to smile and say ' sawadee kab '
even when you have a splitting hangover.
For the guys bringing takeouts everyday no eyebrows just I. D check as mentioned. Food above average.In room safe.
For some bad points ' their poxy wireless internet would not play ball, im using some other source so gave up,
walls are paper thin.Had some guy this week it sounded like I was in Tulip the way she was screaming and he was banging away. Its a more upclass joint granted but if all you want to do is drink and bring back a different ho every night their are cheaper options.
One other minus point the same trouble I had in Majestic when it first opened, ants in the room.
I suppose they will sort that out, my kid was not very impressed though ants all over his chocalate biscuits.
last piece of info i'll answer my own question bus is free to the resort branch in pattaya (when you book of course ) for two people, to the downtown only one person - where does the logic come from he wonders.
One person costs 500 baht.
On another note :
The old soi 4 venue is totally demolished the older fronter side - except for the front support (for those not living here including moi ) The racket will go on there for a while and then the prices will go up. Had a word with one of the owners he said ' they may put in a pool ', them poor roaches must have scarpered anyhow.
I will miss the front part of it sitting outside drinking watching the goings on especially at 2.00 am. But looking at the amount of ladyboys hovering around compared to before probably for the better. One tried to grab hold of me yesterday, before you know it they have their hands in your pocket and your short time money is gone  . Take care out there !!!

agree on all your points, which are basically straightforward, tv, bathroom etc. just two things
the question of the noise I get the idee whoever was the builder did a shit job for large cash.I intend to mention it to the management today when I check out.
the walls are paper thin, some children arrived next door this morning and they might as well be in the same room. Goes for sex as well, its something they will have to deal with as im sure many people will complain.
Its a shame in such a nice hotel and nice location.
Regarding the internet im an internet freak myself thats why I stayed here, of course I could of asked someone downstairs to reset the modem or whatever just could not be bothered to be honest.
Im in the hotel now writing this actually under 'wireless'
network, very low but workable. Also picking up Royal asia no problem. this I get a lot in bangkok in hotels, so nothing strange there.
Downstairs in the lobby I had network 'dynasty grande '
which I thought great the hotel network, but it would not connect.I was not aware this extended to all rooms, just the expensive ones and downstairs. Out of interest under what network were you logging in on in your room.
Like you say up to you but at 2250 I wont stay here.
I've stayed at dynasty for years and everything im comparing to the other hotels of course......

i dont bring anything to plug in with, I was after the free wifi in the reception which would not connect for some reason, it kinda pissed me off but I was rushed and had no time for checking with them so I gave up.
what your saying is free internet plugging in right something totally different......... Free mmm for how long exactly.
agree totally about in room wifi being the ball breaker shall we say in choosing a hotel.
Im in their pattaya version right now and going out to a shop just aint the same. Here they have a special 999 baht because its low season, if they had in room wifi they might attract more clientel.
Staff at the grande definately went to better manner school than all their other outlets i.e higher education and salary, this all adds to the price we the consumer pay.
Will be interesting to see what happens and if the wifi stays free !!
Do we have a list here of all the hotels offering in room wifi with updates on service and cost if any.
I mean except the list from that prick stickman, which shows all places not just hotel rooms.
I think many board members from out of town like this sort of stuff included.
Thanks for the detailed info Typhon, I was staying on the other side picking up other hotels wifi which is also ok.
I will check it out with the dynasty management when im in bangkok next week, I wish the  would put wireless in all their hotels
