From the accorhotels asia website, I searched for hotels in Australia for 01 Aug, and chose the first hotel in the list; Sofitel Brisbane.
Not logged in I see best unrestricted rate of 309.00. Logged in with my asia card number I see Members Rate of 262.65.
Interesting that no discount is given off the pre-paid rate. A discount is given on the 3100 pre-paid rate at the Asoke Residence.

Asian Card cover Australia and New Zealand. Actually from the booklet of hotels they send me, you will find that Australia has the most number of Accors Hotel compare to the rest.

So what might be the best Accor hotel restaurant in BKK? Besides the member discount, I have an Advantage Plus complimentary birthday cake certificate to use in September.
If anyone is interested, I also have a Member for a Day certificate. Entitles bearer to one night stay at member rate. And the dining discount for the same day. Good until June 2008.

Well, I finally got to use my accor free night,,, stayed at Sukumvit Grande by Acoor,,, FANTASTIC room and service. I upgraded to the Platinum suite,,, ladies I brought back where very impressed.
Hope to get time for a field report on this trip,,, maybe on the plane back home Tuesday night.
In general this has been one of my better trips,,, quality women,, only a few problems and healthy and happy ( no Thai belly at all).

So far I have tried two Accor Hotel restaurants; the Indian-Chinese in Novotel Lotus, and brunch at the Cafe de Nimes in Sofitel Grand Sukhumvit. At both I received only a 25% discount dining alone. At the Novotel they even made a point of telling me before seating.
With only a 25% discount, it is not worth eating alone since hotel restaurant prices are so marked up.

sai tai,,, By a co-incidence I recieve a call at work today from a Accor card seller,, I questioned her in detail about you onlt recieving a 25% discount. She suggests you check your members book and insist on getting the CORREECT discount. There are a few exceptions,, one hotel no discount on breakfast and some other not discounting the "eat it all dim sums".

Actually quite a few locations that do not give 50% on food.
When looking though the quarterly mailing (Advantages) in fine print at the end it clearly states under “Additional Membership Benefits Throughout Asia”:
25% off when dining alone.

I tried 3 different restaurants in BKK, at each of them I only got a 25% discount. Must be some confusion as 2 of the 3 told me up front that I would only get 25%.
