Regarding my earlier question about the definition of "guest friendly" for the Ibis on Suk 4... thank you all for your thoughts. After considering your replies and the fact that they wanted all the money for the reservation up-front with no refund upon cancellation, I've decided to wait for a better deal.
My trip to BKK is in May. I know of a serviced apt where I have stayed before that would work for me again, but I would rather find a place on or near Suk this time if possible. Our business is not turning a great profit just now, so my budget is correspondingly low... I hope to find something near the 700 baht per night price. If anyone hears of something that might suit me, I'd appreciate a message. Thanks again...

I do not know of any half way decent hotels for 700 baht on Sukhumvit in anything like a convenient location.
However,Watana Mansion 209 Ratchadapisek Road soi 17 tel. 66 2 6776240 to 5 has single/double rooms for 650 baht including American breakfast.
You can access the hotel website by Googling "Watana Mansion Bankok".
There is currently a 4 days 3 nights package on offer for 2800 baht of which more details on the website.
Payment has to be made in advance by either Visa or Mastercard.
I have not stayed at the hotel,but it was recommended about 18 to 24 months ago by Colorado Guy,so assume it must be guest friendly.
Access to Sukumvit is easily available by the Bangkok Subway.
