Thanks for the info Mr. Alan. I am thinking about trying the President Solitaire also. Only problem is that I can be a real lazy bastard and am not very happy about the SOlitaires location. I think I will do 3 days at JW Marriott and 3 days at the Solitaire in June, unless I go the the beach for a few days...
I love thinking about all this stuff as it gets closer to the trip.

6 weeks to go...
I am currently at the Pres. Solitaie for 30 days. Staying in a Platinum suite. The room is great w/lots of goodies. (74 sq. meters, 2 flatscreen tvs, 1 42" plasma HD, free in room high speed internet, jacuzzi,etc.etc.) The location sucks but it's only a Bht35, 5 min. taxi ride to the action. They also have a free suttle that will take you to Sukumvit Rd.
Cost is Bht1,621 per night. for the 1 month rate. My 2nd stay here. Shorter stays are a little more per night.
BTW that bht1,621 includes tax and Vat.
