I got replay from several reservation sites that the opening is today March 01 and not on the 15.
Anyone have new info ?

So, their introductory rates are "suppose" to be cheap. I'll be staying for 1 night trial next month. Will report then.
I have a feeling those "normal rates" will never go into effect.

According to sawadee.com you can book from the 1 march, so I guess its open for buiness

Just got back today from BKK and they still aren't open yet, but very soon because they were having staff meetings in the lobby. I don't really like the location because I want to be closer to Qbar or the subway to Ratchada but if any of you guys want to buy coupons, email Mr. Bob and I think they are selling coupons for 2000baht if you buy ten nights (don't have to be consecutive. He is the manager for Majestic Suites and I think he is moving over to Grand Majestic.

My sister just been at the hotel, and it is open, the call it pre-open and the grand opening in the 12 march

I took a tour of this hotel on 3/5 and I can verify the hotel is open for business. The "official" opening date is 3/17. They were open for business sometime in February on a trial basis to make sure everything was up and running. Guests started asking about staying at the hotel and they accomodated stating that there was still testing of systems underway. During my tour there was some noise and construction on the pool floor (seven I think) which includes a nice workout facility. The rooms are beautiful with 32 inch Sony Wega TV's. Hardwood and marble floors, nice big bathrooms and in room safe. Superior room has separate bath and shower. If you book through the majestic suites site the rooms are cheaper. 2500 baht for a standard and I believe 3500 for a superior. Walk up rates are much higher. Still no joiner fee. Several nice restaurants and a grand entrance. My honest opinion is excellent value for the price and great hotel. Will stay here next time. Amman (not sure on spelling) is the new manager of majestic suites and the old managers of majestic suites move to the new hotel. Bob and ??????

I got an invitation for a 1 nite trial....the management is summoning all the main travel agents/tour operators to let'em check the quality of the hotel....I'll post a FR within the next 48 hours.
