checked this thread but couldnt find the answer to my question
i will be staying in a deluxe in nana hotel and friends are staying at majestic suite
i wanted to stay at nana to have the deluxe room/living space for small party with friends before heading out for the night 
are they allowed to come up to my room if they are not guests at the hotel (keep in mind these are my traveling buddies and not BG im bringing back with me...i dont swing that way ) 
i've never stayed there so have no idea if there is a security guard at the elevator or goon stopping visitors from coming up

I don't think you'll have a problem with private parties in your room at the Nana (with or without TGs), I do it all the time...
There are guards at the elevator, but they're more interested in the girls.

back to the original question how good the Deluxe and Suite rooms are. I have booked a Suite and I will surely post my review once I am back from BKK around November time frame.
If time allows please post your review of the Suite room also.

Scobie when you say things like : "I admit it. I'm perplexed." maybe it is time to put Little Scobie back in it's place and start thinking for your self again.
Unlike you there are people that can spend their money only once. So knocking off 500 baht a day on a hotelroom that gives me nothing extra, then over 4 weeks I have a lot of extra money to spend on girls.
And to you it may be a dump, but then again your real name is probably Michael Jackson and you never exit your cleanroom. I found little wrong with the Nana Hotel. If you want to throw a party like the previous poster then Nana is great. The standard rooms are so big you can entertain a dozen people without problem.
And for somebody who has never been in a room there, you have some strong opinions. So I take it you did not tell the truth about that other hotel when you said : "I promise I have no business interest in the place"
Sounds to me you want to scare people that way.
And you know what? It worked! You have my interest peeked. But what is all the secrecy about? Why the PM? Is this a hotel owned by the Masons? Do we need to be a member with secret handshakes? Are funny hats involved?
So give us the name and adress of the 550 baht hotel on Soi 18. I have stayed in Soi 1, 3 and 4 in BKK. Time to see the city from a different p.o.v. around Soi 18.
P.s. Don't you find your logic a bit twisted when you compair a public toilet (with hundreds of users) to a private room? Or does the whole of NEP piss in your toilet and it still looks better then Nana's? It looked fine when I used it once or twice.

Nana hotel rooms are gross and unclean. It is what it is, a convenience with access to ho's who are 5-6 (see nana parking lot). Some bg's in SOI Cowboy wont even go back there for short time and would rather go a short time motel instead.
Me Personally, im not travelling 22 hours from the US to stay in the motel quality of Motel 6. On my last two trips I have stayed at the President Solitaire and President Park. Rooms are very nice, spacious, clean (nana is not). Also, security at Nana is non existant. I stayed at Nana in Sept 2003 for two nights.

For the first time visitor the Nana can't be beat.
I've stayed at the Nana a few times. Regular rooms are rather average. The single punter atmosphere is a little tedious for me.
I like the Dynasty a little better not as hectic as the Nana and a little more personal.
The Majestic Suites is a very nice hotel.
My last trip to BKK I stayed in the Ambassador tower wing. Nice as well. A cut above the Nana and well located with descent breakfast buffet that's included with the room.

You might check the Ambassador hotel. I'm told they have some condo suites for reasonable prices

The Nana has been refurbishing the rooms from the top of the hotel down. So one has a better chance of getting a better room if staying on an upper floor.
Like any company, they give the better rooms to their better customers, so chances are one won't be able to pick their room on their first visit.
Then again, a couple hundred baht slid across the front desk works wonders.
