Looks like this needs to be clarified. It's either the Accor people ( but with their butts covered by the UP to 50%) or the Thai hotels not sticking to the deal???

Well,, it was Mother's day last week,, and I took mum for a seafood smorgansboard at the Novotel brighton beach,, absolutely fantastic value and yes you DEFINATELY get a 50% discount.
The confusion on dining discounts are that if you dine ALONE you get 25% off the bill, dine with a friend 50% off.
One of the guys at work was telling me he goes for breakfast at least 4 times a week,, normal price $24,, he gets $12 each for him and his wife. Wide selec`tion of breads, eggs cooked to order,, fresh fruit, juices, cakes / short breads, freshly brewed coffee etc etc etc for AUD $12,, BARGAIN, shish it costs near 10 dollars a head for 2 slack mac breaky burgers and hot-cakes.

Accor is running a sale on Asia-Pacific hotel rates for dates from now until end of September. You have to book between 23 June and 29 June.

The rates for me were quoted in USD. These are the Baht equivalents displayed.
Advantage Plus card members get an addtional 10% off the sale rate.
I have frequently stayed at the Asoke when it was branded Sofitel. A 70-80 sqm suite is a steal at this rate. I wonder if it is still GF now that it is run by Mercure?

Sai Tai: It's amazing how great minds think alike ! (What's our excuse ?) I'm looking at Asoke as well. Should be all right since they're serviced apts and all. Accor seems to waver on guest policy according to the economic climate. wj
