Tim has been very active on another forum for at least 3 years now providing advice on where to stay and getting members booked at the best rate he can negociate with the hotels. An invaluable service for newbies, in my opinion.
We are fortunate if he shares some of that advice with us.

Rooms are so quiet,located in a sub street, no cars or motorcycles going up the street, although not sure how quiet they will remain when some board members occupy them.
Its so hard to get rooms at Majestic Suites and to tell all the truth, the 2 places are different hemispheres. Majestic Suites is within touching distance to Nana, whilst Darjelling is so near to Cowboy.
It took the owner about 2 hrs to equip the hotel with Dvd players after our request. Will ask about the breakfast. Although not sure where they would set this up, as space is limited.

Well I do deal with the hotels on a daily basis and any help needed, I would gladly offer to all. I do know quite a bit about all hotels in Bangkok in particular as I do inspect as part of my job.

Apollo,on Tim`s Hotel site a Superior double at Swiss Park is B1295 until 31 Oct and B1531 from 1 Nov,2008 to 31 Oct,2009.Darjeeling`s tariff is B1780 from 1 Oct to 31 Mar,2009,but otherwise only B1600 from now until 31 Oct,2009.Thus in High Season the difference is B249,but for most of Low Season only B69.

Internet is another factor. Swiss Park does not offer internet in their rooms and there are plenty of small shops/travel agents outside.
Darjelling has internet in all rooms and I will push them to get this free asap.

Hi Tim - a friend of mine is looking to head out there around Halloween, and is looking for accommodations that include internet access - Darjeeling seems to fit the bill well, but would be a better fit if the prices included the internet service.
Essentially, once you add the 300 Baht for daily internet use to the 1650 Baht, you end up with nearly 2000 Baht -- and you can get Centre point petchburi at 2051 Baht, with rooms that are nearly twice the size, and complimentary internet - just for comparison.

Just phoned the owner to advise we need it free like yesterday. I will get his reply soon. Will post here then.
Am a top 3 seller at Centre Point Petchburi. Know it well.
Rooms are unusually huge and good facilities. Free cable internet in all rooms.
Good for shopping, but not a brilliant location for sanuk.

I would disagree - if you're into the quick succession of short times, then maybe so.... but if you're interested in picking a girl, having her stay overnight, and enjoying a relaxing morning or mid day at the pool, I find CP to be ideal -- and most girls appreciate both the qualities of the rooms, as well as the relative quiet area a way from the circus of Sukhumwit.
Heck, I've even had quite some parties and happenings when I stayed there with friends, and we combined our rooms' connecting doors 
At this point, I always get a thumbs up from the guards and bellhops when I bring my girlfriend of the night along - but in terms of environment, it is certainly NOT a monger destination (which makes it ideal in my case).
If you can get better prices than the 2099 listed on your site for CP Petch, I'd book with you on my next trips (i.e. I can get it regularly for 2050 through AtSiam - and I got it for 1680 THB through AsiaRooms during the holiday season last year) so, if you can get it me similar prices, PM me, and we may have a deal.
