... I don't know about others, but I see only scant evidence of a high season... seems hotels are having poor success holding rates... look around a bit, and a great rate is possible at some time at most every hotel, and certainly available within virtually every competitive set.
... it's a good time to be in Thailand now, but this coming low season could mean bloody balls for Thailand hotel owners.

The situation is no so black as it might seem.
Tourism is growing faster than expected in the last quarter of 2010.
Its not correct to compare the activities in the bars with the occupancy of the hotels.
The last 3 months all our property has been rented out 100% and we struggel to find apartments for our guests.
A large percentage is russians and they have a different way of enjoying their alcohol. A nice terrace is more important than a location next to a gogo bar.
