Staying at the Renaissance this trip I took a look at what the Marriott Gold offers. At 7,500 bht it looks like it is barely worth the price of admission, for an occassional traveler like myself. I can qualify as an Expat cause I have a Thai mailing address to use, but with only 2-3 trips a year, and only in BKK, I can't use all the extra certificates that they offer. I'm really only interested in staying at the JWM, and now the Renaissance. With only 1- 2,999/nt cert for each place, and for only 3 nts., it's really marginal. I can use the 1 cert for dinner at each place, easy, but that's worth only 2500. The dining card at 35% off is possibly worth 1,000 bht per trip
Anyway, are there any Clubs worth joining? This could include; InterCon, Hyatt, Meridien, etc.
