Thanks seubeu, for finding a way out for us!

There is the opposite issue, how not having to involve with a lady. I hahve discovered that if I am being pestered by a girl(s) in a bar and I am not interested, it works well to ask the m 3 std questions:
1) Were are you from?
2) For how long do you stay in Thailand
3) How long has your mother been ill?
I don't do it often, because, boy, does that piss them off.

I just tell them the truth -- that I am married to a Thai woman. This keeps most of them from getting too many ideas, since they know that another Thai woman is unlikely to let someone else get all of her money  Still some want to be a mia noi.
Of course even if this isn't strictly true you could use it to. Just get a picture of a nice, lovely Thai girl and keep it in your wallet. Whip it out when necessary and then explain that your wife has to take care of a sick relative back home (which is why you come to LOS, of course) but she doesn't mind you have a bit of fun as long as it doesn't go serious (and she doesn't find out). Might help to have a picture of a couple young Thai tax deductions in there, too.

Interesting point. When a buddy of mine used the excuse that he either has a wife in the U.S, or has a wife/gf in Thailand, the responce from the females was, "I can be #2,#3,ect". At that moment, he was S.O.L. It's good to hear that it works for you.

Actually, the wife thing doesn't keep them totally away, it just tempers their persistence. Okay, it generally keeps the good girls away. But it also lets them know that if they are "number 2", it means exactly that.

Not really, they know better, especially if they've seen a picture. (Thais have a definite pecking order, the frau's family is near the top of the food chain, most bg's are near the other end)

Unfortunately with me, I am met most of my female friends at either MP's or G-clubs. They are always on the lookout to be #1 or #2. Even when they say #2 is fine, something happens and a power struggle ensues.
No worries though. I just say, no thank you and leave it at that!!
