Comming from the airport is not a problem as long as you are not worried about 20 Baht.
Instead of comming off the normal slip road to Sukhumvit carry on the expressway over Sukhumvit to the south exit then depending on the time of the day either go through the factory and your on Soi 4 or carry on Soi 0 to JWM go through their carpark and turn right on Soi 2 to Rajah hotel carpark (cost 20 Baht to pass) and your on Soi 4. It can cut out 20 minutes if your rushed to empty the sac

I have been taken that route but can you imagine trying to explain to the cab driver that is the way you want to go ?????

I tell them to take me to the Marriott. That way they take you that way anyway. When we get to the Marriott, I direct him which way to go from there.

I tell my Taxi Driver to take me to the Landmark. It is a 3 minute walk to Majestic Suites from there. I do the same thing leaving; I walk to the Ladmark, and hop in a cab from there.

One small problem with asking for the Landmark, as you come off the expressway and turn left into Sukhumvit the Landmark will be on the "wrong" side of the road, far beter to ask for Nana hotel, only a one minute walk. The Landmark is the best place to get your cab back to the airport because the cab has lots of time to get into the outside lane for the expressway.

I doubt it very much, at least they don't advertise it in the room. Most guys would not be bored enough to need a DVD player.

I don't think you can rent one. But they have 2 channels on the TV dedicated to their in house dvd players (i think it's channels 9 and 10). Many times I've asked them to play dvd's for me when I wanted to watch a movie I just bought.
