Here's what I like about Nana:
1) free drink on arrival
2) free breakfast every morning
3) lots of rooms with a large window overlooking Sukhumvit
4) free Bangkok post each morning
5) nice new pool and whirlpool -- after doing the daytime shopping/touring great to unwind in the pool and drink a few beers in a sun chair.
6) 1400 check out. Early check out, you pay what you stayed. Decide not to show up for a reservation? No charge. In fact no credit card required for a reservation
7) the rooms are old but @1100 baht per night it's a good value. The hallways are dingy but then again you're not sleeping in the hallway. ANALOGY: Bangkok's streets are filthy but you're not going to avoid Bangkok just for that.
8) location location location
Sadly though they just raised rates to 1295 for a standard room. I don't know if it's that good.

Once again,If your a newbie,ignore these posts about the Nana being a dump. These fools seem to forget that 95% of heterosexual males coming and staying in BKK aren't here for the climate,pollution,or horrible traffic . They are also not here to critique 5-star hotels. Your money is better spent across the street in NEP than avoiding a hotel that doesn't having anything wrong with it. Cumstains on the walls? I wonder how that guy knew it was cum? RIDICULOUS. Oh,well I needed to vent a little

OK, if you don't mind dirty carpets etc, the only good thing about Nana hotel is the location, many guys who stay at the Nana have never tried anywhere else.

Do you notice how you are the only one on here that thinks Nana Hotel is decent. Maybe you can sell some of your baseball cards or coin collections on ebay and buy a minority ownership in this shithole and have them renovate this dump with furniture that was created after the Jimmy Carter Administration.

The Nana Hotel should be the first hotel for all newbies if they want to get the most out of their trip. With all the fun in the disco, lobby bars, and so on, the Nana Hotel is an undeniably mind-blowing experience.
For those of you wishing to 'put on the Ritz,' try Monte Carlo.

How many of us on this board are newbies ( Been to BK 4 Times) ? Im not, your not. So whats your reasoning now. Actually, its pointless arguing with you Rogues are standards are different. I only stay in 4/5 Star Hotels and not Holiday Inns when I travel abroad.
JAI, maybe you and Pen can get a suite together to cut back on the cost.

I shouldn't think people that know the lay of the land would ask where to stay. Any guy with a trip or two under his belt should have a pretty good idea where to stay if he doesn’t want to stay at the Nana.
I don't consider myself a newbie but I stay at the Nana in BKK because it's fun.
When I go to Pattaya, I stay at the Hard Rock Hotel for the same reason; because it's fun!
Money isn't a big concern for me. I'm there to have fun, not squeeze every satang for what it's worth.
If money is a big concern for you, then I'm truly sorry; that's a rough way to go through life. But if a newbie is worried about money, a Standard room at the Nana Hotel for a little over $20 USD (with breakfast included) is not a bad value, and they get to live the legend!

What a "minimalist" stylish hall way with sharp contrast of white and red. The two "leather" bed rests just shows such sensitive consideration for guests' comfort. And the view! Wow, never see Bangkok skyline so stunning! O, yeah, the location is platinum. You are practically steps away from the world class Bangkok Zoo. For 1000 baht a night? Why, you can't get YMCA for that kind of money. Go for it, newbies, you WILL learn to love Thailand and all its beauty by staying at Nana Hotel. (PM me, newbies, if you are a bit confused with my "praise" of this "stunning" hotel)
