Just got back from Bkk, spent a couple nights at Majestic Suites and one at Landmark. You can' t beat the convenience to NEP. One girl at Rainbow 1 I negotiated down so she didn't want to go back to my hotel, but wanted to go to the ST rooms in NEP, and it took about the same time to get to the room. The rooms are decent, clean, and no one hassles you coming to the room besides the security guard to take the girls ID.
Highly recommended.
Are you saying anything different from everyone else in this thread? You could just say, "I stayed there and agree with what everyone else has been saying for years, no new comments". The problem with Majestic is it's close to impossible to get a room there if you don't book it 10 years in advance now. (slight exaggeration of course) 5 years ago it was the best hotel in the area and I stayed there every time I came to Bangkok, but not anymore due to it's inavailability for someone who wants to book it at the last minute.

I have never had a problem getting a reservation at the Majestic Suites. Then again, like airline tickets, I book well ahead in advance. Like at least 3-5 months in advance.

So there are people out there who actually plan these things that far ahead? That's amazing to me. I always make plans about a week before I do them regardless of where I'm going. That includes airline and hotel booking.

Has anyone used the site below to book accom ? The price they quote undercuts most others by around 300 baht although it doesn't indicate ABF or not.
I know Majestic is Gf but does the no joiner apply if you only book a single ? I've UTFSE but opinions vary and have also emailed Majestic direct but have not recieved a reply (4 days ago).

size of the room is the key
single is barely large enough to fit u and ur girl (i'm assuming ur same size as me- not to tall/wide) 
splurge and get a double...IMHO

wokka1,,, That hotel web-site would have to be one of the most APPALLING excuses for advertising I have ever seen!!!!
I cross checked a few prices and they advertise Montien at OVER DOUBLE the normal price!!!! WTF
It may in some peoples opinion be worth the risk to book Majestic through this inept site to save 147 BHT but I wouldn't recommend it.

I'd agree with Mel the Site looks dodgy....I would not use it
Rooms on Majestics own site start at 1250 baht INCLUDING one breakfast anyway

Book direct and then if there is a stuff up and the place gets overbooked you are less likely to be the one who gets the "oh so sorry treatment"...Enjoy.
