I have had a few friends stay over there. It's definitely girl friendly. The location is great, only 5-10 minute walk to the BTS, lots of action around, and you get free entry to Bed SupperClub and Q Bar if you present your keycard.

The rooms are fairly tired. The staff really need a service elevator of their own. Staying in Tower I I've encountered just as many staff using the elevator as guests, including the 1 who insisted on using the elevator to travel up 1 level. The hotel has the usual international mix with a large percentage of Middle Easterns. You have to feel for those black burka wearing women wandering around Sukhumvit in 33oC, 80% humidity – I've always wondered what Hotel they stay at  . I will resist making any cheap remarks about the absurditiy of wearing such clothing if one is trying to deflect a mans wandering lustful eyes with all those Thai babes around....but you'll be glad to know I found no bombs under the pork sausages or bacon trays at breakfast 
Guests can also use any of the 3 pools from the 3 towers. None are exceptionally large but spreading the guests between the pools means you get a fairly private experience, also no chance of meeting any of the burka toting towel-heads poolside. The buffet breakfast is good with a large variety on offer. They have a dozen movies on constant rotation on the (CRT) television and DVD movies are free to borrow from reception although I never spotted a player in my room. Internet is still only wired and 200Baht a day if your booking doesn't include it for free
Due to its location on Soi 11 and attractions around this Soi this Hotel will always attract customers but I reckon they need to refurbish the rooms. With the newish President Palace next door they might not bother and run this place into the ground. I feel the seasoned monger that likes a modern 4-star experience have probably passed this hotel by

I've been a little guilty of ignoring Cowboy/Nana for the most part. During the initial stages of my holiday I tend to concentrate on the porn star experience one finds at the massage parlours notibly the Oilies. After a week of this I go from Tezza Strongcock to Tezza Deadcock and tend to shift focus to then finding lovelies from the go-go's that may not be porn stars in bed but are fun to be around. I'm changing to that stage now so I guess I'll be able to fill you in shortly
As for people in the street I never seem to notice much difference between numbers during high season and low season. Maybe forum members who live here may know better
