Yes, some hotels do have a "joiner fee" for girls. I avoid those hotels if at all possible. I've probably stayed at 40 different hotels in Bangkok. I've only stayed at 2 that required a joiner fee - Amari Hotel and Windsor Suites. Avoid those 2 crap hotels is my recommendation.
Grande will not always check the girls ID. It depends on the way the girls look most times. If the girl really looks sleazy, they will almost surely ask for her ID. If she looks fairly proper, they will likely let her walk by with you. You can ask them to take the girls ID yourself to be sure and when doing so ask them to call you when she departs. (They do not call upon departure as a normal practice.)
I just realized something. That 3200 baht price is their normal discounted price. Now that I think about it, they may have a 2900 baht price for that room if you book it and pay at Majestic Suites. I don't know. I always book the cheaper one for 2500. LOL.

It's US$63 (2,520 baht) for a double grande superior and US$68 (2,720 baht) for a double grande premier.
The prices fluctuate a couple of dollars both ways from time to time. I booked a double grande superior for US$64 a couple of weeks ago.

The Maj. Grande is now one of the hotels of choice in BKK for Arabs --- fine folks, sure, but you do not want to be bringing in your bar-finds with families swirling around you, the women covered in black, etc.

Why on earth would I give a shit what those people think? If I don't mind walking into JWM, why would I mind walking into MGrand? Because they wear black? Tough shit for them.

Tremendous number of black clad ladies at the JWM right now. Strangely enough they mix quite well with the TG's. I believe the guys enjoy the eye candy while the black clad ladies must have been advised that its part of the BKK cultural experience. Arab kids playing ball outside in the hall right now.
The JWM staff don't seem to mind these folk as they keep the hotel full although the assistant general manager confided that the maids usually have to do a double cleaning when the rooms are vacated and also mount a campaign to discourage in room cooking. There is an Arab speaking chap in at the front desk to help.

My Thai girlfriend asked me to change hotels. She thought all those arab women looked like ghosts and she was scared.
