come in on the 17th leave on the 18th to C.M. at noon thought I would stay close to airport to save time. Anything to do close by this hotel? Thank you

In a word - not really. IN the end of the day its about 15 mins from the airport, Sukhumvit is 35. Spend another 20 mins in the taxi eaxh way - and have yourself a better time.
