I'm looking for a hideaway in Saraburi, preferably on the lake so I can do some fishing, family's coming so P4P is not required, ideally a 2/3 bedroom villa/bungalow, with private pool even better, but not a must. Done the Google thing and found a couple of resorts Supalai Pasak Resort Hotel Palm Garden Lodge Anyone know of anything better, or have any info on the 2 places i've found. Thanks for your help.

You did, but I didn't ignore you, I looked at the website you gave, checked the costs and it was a lot more expensive than I was looking for, but you were right about my final choice. Don't forget I was also given positive advice from others, which added to my thoughts. Now I know you to be a true upstanding resource of knowledge (that I should have listened to) any advice on Saraburi ?

ask any took-took driver when you get there, and get out of the range of mrs. Pan & her relatives (if you think you can)

Supalai is a nice place, it's a fair way outside Saraburi but it's got a nice swimming pool and looked modern when I visited it a few years ago. It has bungalow type rooms. I don't know the other one as the last few times I've been to Saraburi and had any spare time whatsoever I got in a taxi to Bangkok! I lived in the "Saraburi Inn" for about 5 months, which is the best hotel in the actual town (not saying much). They have a pool (which I take credit for as I asked them to build one about 5 years ago). I can't recommend it though as it's basically 20 yards off the main highway to Bangkok, hardly a getaway!
