Yes. Oh and by the way, I hear that they have put the Swiss Park up for sale after you stayed in it recently.

The day the Grace is no longer girl-friendly is the day England will win the World Cup.

------------------------------------------------------------------- Haven't been to this forum for a while, and seems like you can't post new topics now being marked with newbie status so I decided to borrow this thread. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Anyway I'm planning to stay in Bangkok for a week in either late june or early july and after extensive research have decided on three hotels. I just have a few questions for any of you guys that could help and I would really appreciate it. -My hotel budget is capped at $1000 US Dollars or roughly 33,000 thai baht for the full 7 nights.- (1.) My first choice would be the Platinum Suite at the President Solitaire but it's just over my budget especially with the tax/service charges. I remember reading they had a weekly rate but it was a very old post and not sure if this is still possible. Does anyone know? (2.) If that doesn't pan out, I'm looking to stay at either of these 3 hotels: Omni Serviced Apartments (Executive Suite - $90/Day) President Park (Tulip Suite - $90/Day) Townlodge (Jacuzzi Suite - $100/Day) Pictures are really limited so I would appreciate any input and recommendations by you guys that have been to these hotels. Which one should I choose? My primary concerns are: 1 Nice Bathroom with Big Tub, 2 Nice A/C as it will be summer, 3 Clean and not run down, 4 Good Amenities like kitchen since I'll be staying a whole week. I figure all 3 hotels have internet and are girl friendly so those aren't major concerns. I just want to know which one is more glam/comfy. Also I got these quotes from browsing their websites and asiarooms.com, if you guys know ways of getting better rates either direct or tips like that any guidance would help. Once again, any input on any questions is highly appreciated and if you happen to be in BKK in July I'd be happy to share a beer or two my treat. Thanks In Advance, -A.

Angelus, Why not stay at The Majestic Grande Deluxe room Has both shower and large Bathtub and fits within your budget easily. About 3500 Baht/night. Internet like most hotels is charged at about 500 Baht/24 hours. Can be bought by the hour as well.

hey angelus, dunno about the other two but have stayed quite a bit in omni towers in the 1bhk as well as the 2bhk service apts. apart from the big tub part (had a normal bath tub in the 1bhk service apt), I can vouch for the place. its got a pretty decent gym & pool as well. only problem I think is room service cause though the 'blue lagoon' restaurant downstairs has pretty good food but its damn slow. one other thing I liked about the place is that though its in the same lane as nana, its about 200mts inside n hence pretty quiet. but then u maynot like that? cheers! bcg
