Came across this hotel's Web site. It is called simply S15, after its location at the corner of Sukhumvit Road and Soi 15.
If it lives up to the promise of its Web site (not many hotels do), it could be a decent option. The most important question is: Is it guest friendly?
Any one have an idea?

Seems to be a glut of boutique hotels opening. Their prices seems high even at the promotional rate, but with all the hotels opening it should just be a matter of time befoe rates drop. The beds look bondage friendly, a first for a hotel here.

Against my query of GFness I got the following reply
Greeting from S15 Sukhumvit Hotel, Thank you for your e-mail please beinformed due to joiner fee overnight.
If you let joiner register as room owner like you then no charge becuase joiner will authorize to have key or step in your room at all time.
But if you not allow joiner to register as room owner then the hotel will charge for joiner fee THB. 1000++. per night.
Looking forward to hearing and welcome you to spend a night at S15 Sukhumvit Hotel soonest.

Hey that is a first. I never seen (++) service charge (10%) and VAT tax 7% on a joiner fee.

If they charge Service Charge and VAT, they will most likely give a receipt for the joiner fees. That legalises the entire trade.

Thank you for the speedy reply.
Oh well, it seems like they don't want to be a mongers' hotel. If they enforce that policy, it means they want to discourage punters from bringing back overnight guests.
If prices come down a bit, it might be OK for the nights when I'm with a lady with whom I feel comfortable registering as a room occupant.

Well, they did a good job, with help of the police, of getting rid of the hookers in front of the hotel.
Now they probably want to start on the inside.

Finally a boutique hotel built with some brain, after a string of new disappointing openings...
The S15 is worthy all the money they are asking for: rooms are nicely decorated and very comfortable, in particular the bathroom [really big and functional].
Common areas are ok and the only major issue I see is the location: very central but also very noisy.
IT'S GF [confirmed by the directors] and they do provide free wireless internet in rooms and in the lobby

So like some other hotels, if you send an email asking about joiners' fees, the answer is "yes" so no one can go to a newspaper or magazine with proof the hotel encouraging prostitution.
But in practice, they don't charge joiners' fees? Is that right?
