Any board members have any current info on the Royal Asia Paradise off of Soi 8? And before you start flaming my ass, yes I did use the FSE and couldn't any posts since May 2003. Any information will be greatly appreciated...

No flame.... suggestion.... next time re-use the old thread, like paper, aluminum, and glass; threads are recyclable. This will give us some context on which to go by on the subject.
That being said, never heard of the place and if none of the brothers commented in the last 5 years it probably means that it is not on the current group of places to go.
I was on Soi 8 at the Adelphi Suites and I did not even see the place You might consider there are many cheap but new venues listed on by BK on BTF...

The place is all the way at the end of Soi 8 and Adephi Suites is near the top of the soi – so not surprising that ya did not notice the place.
BTW- I think they have the oldest operating tuk-tuk in Bangkok; they use it to run guests up to the top of the soi. Big red machine – kind of reminds me of Fred Sanford’s truck.

That is probably it IBF, I have never been that far down Soi 8. I usually get no farther down than the Swiss/French restaurant.
I guess that if their Tuk-Tuk is that old then the lodgings are not much younger. I wonder if they look like Fred Sanford's house  ...

Not that current, but I stayed there in 2006. Affiliated to next door Royal Asia Lodge, which is an older hotel (the pics of the lobby and bar you'll find on hotelwebsites describing Paradise, are actually of the Lodge hotel). Paradise is more like a serviced appartments complex. Huge rooms, attached seating room, small kitchen. Small balcony. In room safe. Wifi available. Security guard at the gate. A bit stale, but clean and comfortable. I can't recall seeing the red tuktuk, but they have a modern, white vehicle, which, when at the northern side of soi 8, can be called by pressing a button (in a side-street).
