1. They want me to pay 20% deposit by credit card but cannot tell me upfront If I get a double..If I cannot thy they will not accept my payment
2. You pay the rest on check n.
Is this crap service?

depends, they might have that policy during the holiday season. don't think they are fully booked right now.
however there are lots of other hotels in or below that price range near by.

Depends which web site you are using...  If you used http://www.thethailandlifestyle.com/Darjelling, this is *not* the hotel's webpage.. it is just someone ("Henry") who is the middleman and tries to make a buck or two on your reservation (hence the 20% down payment). The hotel official site, as far as I could tell is this:

Looks a very good and *NEW* hotel... and very nice prices (and nice pool...!

Good luck... I will take a look at this hotel next time I go to the LOS... very nice look from the web, and perfect location!

Compared with the old mainstream large brand hotels. Definitely what Bangkok needs now. Good location too near Soi Cowboy. Is Guest Friendly as well.
