A few months ago I was looking for a hotel off Suk. for a friend coming to Bangkok. I found Som's Guesthouse on Suk 22 near Hana Masssage. The place is new and has many amenities including Wi-Fi etc. for around 800-900 baht with breakfast. This hotel is similar to the place I stay in Pattaya located in LK Metro called The Golf Club. No I don't have a financial interest just like to help the friendly expat owner.
