Going to LOS during the third week of April (11-20). Looking for a hotel in lower Sukumvit. Requirements
Internet, Balcony, Guest Friendly and less than Bt2,500
Manhattan: No balcony, Internet, GF
Swiss Park: No balcony, No Internet, GF
I have stayed in the above two hotel.
How is Grand President Opal Studio. Does it have a balcony and is it GF? It seems it has internet.
Amari on Soi 5. I have stayed there before. It has internet and balcony. I remember they keep a count of girls I am bringing and on the third girl they asked for a guest charge. How is the scenario now?
Also Citadines, Suk 11. Looks good for their promo price. Any opinion?
Any other hotel suggestions?
While we are at it, any suggestions for Pattya Hotel meeting my requirements.

No balcony (none of the studios or single room suites have a balcony), it is GF.

Amari Boulevard charges a 1000 baht joiner fee and is priced over 2500.
I booked City Lodge on Soi 19 for songkran. It has internet (but you have to pay extra 525 baht per 24 hours). Has a small balcony you can stand out on, but not enough room for a chair. Guest friendly, and I booked for 1600. My requirements were to be VERY CLOSE to bts (for shopping) and mrt (for soapys) so as not to get all wet.
Also, CitiChic on Soi 13 is great for 23000-2500, the deluxe room has a balcony but there's nothing to look at. Guest friendly, free internet, VERY comfortable rooms, 37" flat screen tv with lots of channels, but a 15 minute walk to Suk. Very friendly staff and my favorite hotel in this price range.

grand president is great, but no balcony.
i like tower 2, have stayed in the royal and regency. kind of old but comy, roomy. free internet. I like the location, close to BTS stop but kind of relaxed soi. very GF.
i was wondering what BKK is like for songkran. is it crazy? business as usual? will the girls be back home or still looking for "dates". thanks

Some rooms have balcony not all the rest of what you need/want they have. I have not found better but always looking.

Thanks for the info bingo. But I would prefer lower Suk. Also, the reason I like a balcony is that I am a smoker and I prefer to smoke in the balcony rather than in the room. After a couple of cig., the rooms fills up with smoke and smells really bad unless I open all the windows. If I open all the windows at night, I have problems with mosquitos in some hotels.

Thanks for the info...I am also looking for a place with a balcony for smoking....i used to stay at the President Park with a balcony but that was long term...I heard some of the Nana Hotel rooms have balconies,,,I don't know if thats true or not...
