A falang friend needs a reasonable studio or 1 bedroom for 2-4 weeks in may. He would rather not pay a hotel and figures he can get a good deal on a 1 month lease.
I have scanned around but with not much luck. Anyone have suggestions? Requirements are close to BTS/MRT, ideally with a kitchen, clean and priced well (whatever that means)

Still a little walk up the soi to the train and MRT. But a decent place. And Soi 11 is hoping at night.

Damnit, Citradines 11 is getting too popular those days... Was fully booked midst of march, had to go to Citadine 8 (which was absolutely ok btw... pool is a joke but anything else is same same)
I hereby declare full stop on recommending Citadines!

The Citadines on soi 23, isnt close to a BTS station, but had monthly rates at about 30,000 baht (I think thats what my buddy paid?)
and I would say for a month vacation, it is well worth the $850, or about that. I assume the amenities are on par with the other Citadines....

ATL, I guess that's what the definition of close is, it's a 7-10 min walk, I would say 23 Citadine is not that much farther from Asoke than the Nana BTS is from Soi 11 Citadines.
I just went down to check on prices for a friend just yesterday, and they were as follows:
Studio: 28 SQM 1,890 Daily 35,000 Monthly
1 BR: 45 SQM 2,320 Daily 45,000 Monthly
Note: Daily Rate + 5% Service Charge & 7% VAT (227 THB per day studio)
Monthly Rate + 1,500 Studio or 2,700 for the monthly electricity.
Also monthly rate is only 3x per week cleaning, if you want new towels on the other days, they charge you the house cleaning fee of 100 THB.

Thanks for the input... It seems that for a month, it will still average out to 1000+ baht per day. I see studios and 1 B/Rs for sublease ranging from 8,000-20,000 baht for the month.
Not sure why he would want to pay 10K more for (arguably) less space.

try to find a one month deal.
YO place between 16 and 22 gets you maybe a 1 month deal for 30k, for a one bedroom apartment plus water and electricity. put expect to pay a 1 month deposit as well.
they used to do only 6 month deals, but I think you can talk with them, as their occupancy rate is not to great.
nice swimming pool on top.
